Convent's House

attractive and clean apartment in a quiet location. walking distance to chapel of bones and roman ruins. the host is really lovely and was very quick to respond when we were missing coffee pods. her lovely manner and willingness to help was key to us enjoying our stay. rooms are nice and big. kitchen has the necessary basics (we didnt cook - only ate breakfast in kitchen).

the apartment is partially underground (but all rooms have windows) so there is a smell (i would describe it as stone/earth smell). it is noticeable but not too strong and you get used to it quickly. parking isnt ideal. it is street parking and the payment system only allows you to buy a ticket for 4 hours and not the full day so need to revisit the car during the day to top up the meter. was good that we could park in front of the house temporarily to unload as the closest available parking was too far to carry our luggage

Large, clean, central, very comfortable, ground floor, very well equipped, a/c, wifi, free parking during the weekend right 10m away on the church square

Damp smell (we didn’t use the a/c nor the kitchen) but beds don’t feel damp at all

The place is charming. Beautiful place inside an old building. Lots of character. The thick walls keep the place nice and cool without the air conditioning. Main bedroom is giant. Very short walk to chapel of bones and not far to temple of Diana. Many restaurants nearby. It is a bit of challenge driving to place (to drop off bags) due to narrow streets and GPS apps not knowing best way there. There are multiple entrances to old walled city. Entrance nearest place is easiest to get in and out of.

Shower is great. Good pressure. Would have been nice to have one bottle for shampoo and another for body wash instead of combo bottle. Feel like that’s something that could be provided at this price point. Though very minor

Cute little place on the edge of the central town. The master bed was large and extremely comfortable. Coffee was provided.

We had trouble getting to the house by vehicle due to the police closing the streets. This may or may not continue to be a problem.

The Convent house was very comfortable and charming. Host provided good instructions and several suggestions about things to do and see. So many highlights and restaurants were easy walking distance. Parking was close by also.

There were no extra blankets or any that we could find considering it was quite cold the night we stayed.

Great location if you want to be in the historic city center, quiet area ... just some bells ringing at some events . Easy to walk to most places and in our case it was easy to get a parking place around the corner and we only paid a couple of hours , Monday morning.

The apartment is located on the ground floor with no stairs to maneuver. The location is excellent! A short walk to restaurants, shopping, historical sites, etc. There is limited paid parking available right in front of the apartment to unload your car and then you can move the car a few blocks away (called Parking Descampado on Google maps) to a large dirt lot with free parking. If you choose to park within the city it will cost about 8.80 euros a day, but you have to get updated parking tickets every 4 hours. However, Parking after 2pm on Saturday until 0830 Monday morning is free within city. AC/Heat units in bedrooms and kitchen worked well and kept the apartment at a very comfortable temperature. It is an old building and many reviews mentioned a musty smell but we did not find this to be true. The bedrooms have plenty of room and the bigger bed was very comfortable. We did not use the twin beds. There is a washer/dryer combo and a well appointed kitchen. Apartment was very clean.

There is a closet in one bedroom but no closet or clothing storage at all in the other bedroom with the big bed. A wardrobe would benefit the room. The sitting area where you watch TV has a very small uncomfortable futon couch. The area could use a pair of comfortable chairs or sofa with end tables instead of the futon.
