Casa di Cynthia

Had a small kitchen. Everything worked. Chromecast was perfect. Good WiFi. The host was very nice.

The construction of the rooms was very provisional. Clearly built by non professionals. However, everything worked. The house like the other houses on the street was run-down. It seemed superficially like a somewhat dodgy neighborhood. However, we felt safe everywhere and the people seemed relaxed and happy.

The room was perfect for us - people who want plushness will need to spend more, but it had good, simple facilities and there was space for the three of us to relax. There is a courtyard outside which is pleasant when the weather is.

There were no complaints about the room itself - the only thing which was problematic was that we couldn't find it, and only did because we were lucky enough to see Marco's son, who then checked us in. This had an impact on our first evening as it meant we were late meeting friends but it was also very stressful for that hour or so when we were no longer sure we had anywhere to stay that night and neither the door nor the phone was being answered. It wasn't clear that Casa di Cynthia is actually at the same address as Casa di Marco, which is Herentalsebaan 142, and locals we asked had no idea either. Also, Casa di Marco is listed on google as "Permanently closed". This is all stuff they can very easily improve and I hope they will soon.

Good location on the outskirts of Antwerp Car parking was easy as could park in the roads near by also there was a tram service that went into the city centre The appartment was spacious and included cooking facilities The WIFI worked well Good communication with the owner

A small apartment, that is good for a family. Near to bus and tram station.

A bit funky smell.

The host was very kind and helpful. It was clean and had basic necessities.

It was more basic than I expected.

Location next to tram stop is convenient and the price

Do not book the two bedroom apartment as it is the EXACT same as the cheaper three bed option, we were not happy when we were arrived as we felt mislead about this. Shower head did not have a stand so you had to hold it the whole time, towels were stained with makeup. Beds were not comfy whatsoever, pillows and duvet were particularly uncomfortable. No effective cover to stop light coming through windows in the morning, very thin walls.

Everything was good. Owner of this property is very helpful.
