Apartman Zen

It was a big, comfortable and clean apartment in a beautiful and safe neighborhood. There was free parking and the hostess was very polite and helpful.

It was lacking essentials in the kitchen and in the bathroom.

No shampoo in the shower. The shower is actually the bathtub with a curtain, with only the handheld shower hose.

Very nice and big apartment, there was everything You need for a longer stay

The purpose of this review is to signal a situation that left 4 people disappointed. 1 day before our arrival the owner sent us a message saying that there's a water pipe issue at the apartment and that she made another reservation for us (2 couples) at another accommodation (APARTMENTS BIG SMILE). She also told us that the apartment will be similar. When we arrived at APARTMENTS BIG SMILE the owner gave us initially a studio apartment which wasn't suitable for us since we were 2 couples who needed privacy and couldn't sleep on the sofa. We asked him for another option and he seemed a little disturbed by our request because he had established that studio with the owner of Apartman Zen. After a few minutes of "struggling" he found another option: a studio apartment + one more room without bathroom (which made 1 couple to disturb the other couple during the night for using the toilet). We accepted this option because we were somehow forced by the circumstances. Both of the accommodations looked dusty and seemed to be office spaces previously. The separate room had a partially transparent door so anybody that reached the first floor could see inside. The studio apartment was really bad smelling, dirty and looked like an improvisation as shown in the pictures attached. I'm posting this as a warning sign for the people that are in need for a accommodation in Zagreb. Do not chose APARTMENTS BIG SMILE! I would have posted this review on APARTMENTS BIG SMILE's page but I cannot since the reservation was made for Apartman Zen. The grade is for the lack of communication between the owner of Zen and us and between the owner of Zen and Big Smile. I would have given a 1 if the post could have been made on BIG SMILE's page.
