La Priaguea - House Beach

The location was excellent, on the south end of the main beach. There were coffee, gelato, and cafes within 5 minutes. The train station was about 5 minutes away. It was maybe a 5 min walk to be sitting in a beach chair. The unit is upstairs which has it's pros and cons. The pro is you can have the doors open all night and have a breeze off the ocean and hear the waves and know that you are still very safe, plus the great views. The apartment is well stocked with good linens, towels and basics in the kitchen. The hostess, Lara was great. Her guests before me left early so she cleaned early and allowed me to get in at 10am when my train arrived, so I almost had an extra full day. She met me at the apartment and was full of information about where to dine, but groceries, etc. I was very appreciative that she let me have access early as I was really just looking to leave my bag because I had a boat trip in Rapallo at 2pm and did not want to take everything with me.

I loved everything about the apartment, but travelers should be aware of a few things. 1. There are about 30 steps from the front door on the street to the unit. They are steep and I believe marble. You need to be fit and traveling light to manage these. I had no issues, but know this as it would be a challenge with several 40lb+ bags. 2. The second bedroom is up another flight of stairs, has a small window and is ensuite. Better for kids than a second couple as the primary is awesome overlooking the beach. I would not want to split the cost and end up in the twin room upstairs. 3. The living/great room areas is ok, but not super comfortable as more of a sitting room. These could be maybe used for 2 small children to sleep. This set up was also fine for me as I did not spend much time in the apartment as was outside exploring, so basically just needed a bed, bath, kitchen and kitchen table.

The location was amazing. We had a small balcony on the beach. Outstanding. Host was very helpful with our plans while there. Can't wait to go back.

Stairs a little steep

It’s location was brilliant and it was very clean. A lovely courtyard area out back was great for breakfast.

The second bedroom up the stairs is very tight, would be ok for kids but for two adults it left a bit to be desired. It’s a one person very narrow kitchen.

La Priaguea House Beach is the best location we have ever stayed at. The position is incredible. The interiors are elegant and comfortable, with air conditioning and paid private parking being essential amenities. The large outdoor area at the back is a private oasis. It seems unbelievable, but here you find everything, absolutely everything!

Stairs are quite steep. Ok for us but tricky if you have physical challenges
