The apartment was as described. Nice kitchen, large bathroom. Plenty of living space. Owner greeted us and was very pleasant. He does live upstairs. This is an old building with city limits on changing windows and air conditioning so environmental conditions and street noise are a risk. We did not have a problem with noise overnight but having the windows open certainly brought in street noise during the day!

The shower is open floor to the rest of the bathroom and the water spreads on the tile floor and was very slippery. I really question the European open floor showers as water runs elsewhere in the bathroom, we saw this multiple times on the trip. The mattress has a foam topper on it but that made the bed very hot. I think a upgrade to the mattress in needed. The lack of A/C should be noted to avoid summer time guest disappointment. The apartment did have a musty smell to it and that was in April. The bed was not American queen size, it was closer to full size and I do see the booking.com does say 'full bed' so probably my oversight when booking.

Excellent location and very easy to walk to many things. The host made it clear he was very available for any help we might need. This was the first time in many many stays here in Portugal that we felt like we were in an actual home. With things a Home would have like books and games and plenty of linens, etc. and tastefully decorated.

Unfortunately, there were two big problems. The biggest was that there was a very strong smell of mildew or must and they had tried to mask this by putting out many incense sticks and perfumes. We managed to put all the stinky stuff in one cabinet and tried having the windows open all the time, but the musty smell never left. For many people the smell of all that perfume is just as bad or worse. The other problem is that the leather furniture that you sit in to watch TV is almost unusable. Very uncomfortable!

This was our last stop on our 2 week road trip. It felt very cozy and homey right at the time when we were missing home. The hosts are lovely and informative. They made sure the heat was turned on before we arrived and greeted us to show us around. There was a special coffee and tea station(with plenty of pods for our stay). The home was stocked with extra blankets, towels and soaps. The photos don't do the home justice. It is beautifully decorated with real art work and coffee table books that you want to stay and read. I love feeling like I'm staying in a place that represents the local culture and this home does that.

We found the property extremely clean, well fitted and with character. It is about 5-15 minutes walk from all the main attractions. There are 2 parking lots nearby. And mini park - furry friends will love it :) No worries for those who love coffee - good supplies of capsules in place. And very good heating.

Due to cobbled streets you can very well hear nearby traffic.

Lovely house, tastefully furnished very comfortable bed, quality bed linens. Kitchen is well equipped internet is excellent. Spotlessly clean. Warm and friendly host. All in a central location ideal for exploring Évora.

Our host was there to greet us and tell us good eating places, both of which were excellent. He was very personable and said he was available at any time and as he lived upstairs he could come down quickly and sort things out. A bottle of wine, cheese and bread plus coffee pods were nice touches. the place itself is in the center of old town and very accessible to all the sights. A definite no brainer if available
