Apartamentos Cotillo Surf

Fantastic location, modern and clean. The team couldn’t be more accommodating to our check-in and checkout times.

We only stayed two nights which was perfect, if I was there longer it would be good to have a better outside space and more comfortable pull out bed for our 10 year old

We were lured in by the beautiful photos and reviews of the apartments on Booking.com. Unfortunately, the reality was different, sad and hurtful.

Communication with the owner was nice at the beginning (before our arrival). But after the message that we had a problem with the bed for a 10-year-old child (there were NO beds there), communication with him was a sad experience. He even called us bad people and BLOCKED us. We have everything saved in messages because we "just wrote" to him. According to booking, we ordered a one-bedroom apartment with 1x double bed and 1x single bed (for the child). In the bedroom there were two connected single beds (with a gap between them) and no other bed (plus we had a leaky mattress there that smelled). The bed for the child was a strange folding "strange leather cube", and after unfolding it you literally lie on the floor. It was not even ready (the owner left us the linen in the closet, let us do it ourselves). The owner made it clear to us that it was the single bed for the child. Our fault for not checking. The second problem was the bathroom, which smelled very bad (but it was bearable after closing the door and buying a fragrance). The third was the furnishings of the apartment, which were modest, which can also be managed except for the refrigerator, which we had to turn off at night, it was so noisy. There is no dining table, only a bar counter, where there is no legroom (you sit wide apart). We live in the village every year, we always look forward to new housing, but this was a disappointment. It rained for a few days (we were there in December) and since we were staying upstairs, it was leaking, so we spent the whole night wiping the water off the floor. The owner apparently didn't experience it, because he looked surprised that he didn't know where the problem was. We also have a video of the water flowing through the window. We had apartment number 10. We have extensive experience with accommodation in El Cotillo, we know it well, we love it there and even this experience will not discourage us from going there on holiday.

Excellent very spacious apartment with beautiful simple decoration. Everything you need in the kitchen if you are planning on cooking. Very comfy bed. Spotlessly clean. Great huge shower. Absolutely fabulous 10/10

Great location and reasonably priced. The host was very helpful when we complained about noise.

It was really noisy from other apartments and all the homely touches in the photos had been removed so it was very basic and a bit backpacker-like.
