Mateja Apartment

The location was great, within walking distance (ca. 15 min) to Ban Jelacic Square. Easy manageable with the car, not too crowded street. The passage to the parking is indeed a bit narrow and requires you to open the doors each time, but completely manageable, so with it, the price pays off. The cleanliness was on point, and well-equipped, and the host explained everything regarding entrance, heating system, and parking before arrival, so the communication was excellent.

Only bear in mind that the apartment is in the basement.

Decent location, modern and well equipped.

If one of your priorities are free parking, skip this property, especially if you drive a car larger than compact class. Entrance to the private parking lot is extremely narrow and you need to get out of the car every time and manually open/close two sets of doors every time you enter/exit the parking lot, meaning also during raining/snow. By the way, public parking around the apartment is in the Zone 1 (1.60€/h). Central heating was not fully operational, as we would adjust the temperature, and by the time we would come back at the apartment, radiators would be completely cold. Owner’s friend said that the owner has remote control of the heating, so perhaps she switched of the heating remotely (don’t know is it for the sake of power saving or what?). We asked her if she switched off the heating remotely but she just ignored the question. Since the apartment is on the ground floor, private parking is located just in front of the bedroom window, meaning it’s noisy in the morning when other tenants are leaving for work, so don’t expect to sleep after 7am.

Sofa is ok for one person, but not for two without an additional mattress topper.

Fantastic stay , centrally located & very clean apartment. Close to all the restaurants , good transport - easily accessible to all the attractions. We were allowed to check-in well before the actual check-in time which was very helpful.

It would have been better if there were some staff near the property. It was manageable though.

The host was very responsive, especially when most needed. Cleanliness was top notch and all we asked for eg. extra bed for our younger son and extra towels were provided without any hesitation.

There was a flight of stairs to go down to the apartment which is at basement level and pathway tends to be quite dark.
