Otnes Fjordside - Large 80m2 860sqft

Location right on the fjord. The apartment was spotless, large and very well equipped. Sitting on the patio looking at the waterfalls on the other side of the fjord was amazing. The host was fantastic. An amazing location for seeing Aurland, Flam and the surrounding areas. Absolutely amazing stay!

Stunning location! Perfect retreat from our active days out in the area. Very easy to get to where we needed and the hosts were extra kind to help us get to/from the train station. The apartment was very large and had everything we needed

Cannot rate this stay highly enough! The house is beautiful, the view is spectacular and the hosts could not be more kind or helpful. We stayed as a family of 4, and there was plenty of space plus some to spare. Beds are comfortable, the bathroom and shower are a dream, every amenity you could want is available, and it's a short walk to town for supplies, food, or a hike up the mountain. Flåm is a quick 10-minute drive, bus, or ferry away. If you plan on spending more than a night in Flåm, don't... go to Aurland instead and enjoy a luxurious experience in style.

Great apartment in a beautiful spot just outside of Aurland. We felt comfortable and peaceful with our experience. The hosts went above and beyond.

Well kitted out. Easy to find. Quiet. Easy and friendly check in and out Comfortable bed! Great washer and dryer! The view was lovely. The village was lovely. Would love to come back here!

Not one thing

Peaceful and beautiful location away from the insane crowds and tourist traps in Flam. View of the fjord through the trees. The apartment is the ground level of a two story house and is very spacious, beautifully furnished and decorated. Everything was new and worked well, including a washing and dryer. The kitchen is generously equipped and has pantry basics such as spices, oil, coffee, tea. The host's father met us to bring the keys and show us the rental. He was a lovely man and gave us some great tips on where to hike (Prest!) and to consider taking the longer, but stunning scenic Aurland Tourist Route instead of the 23km dark tunnel through the mountain as we continued our visit in the area. We really enjoyed chatting with him, and had many questions about the history and current lifestyle of the area, which he was more than happy to tell us about.

Unfortunately the upstairs guests were (unknowingly?) noisy, their foot steps and furniture dragging above our bed area. Perhaps a thick area rug can be installed in whatever is directly above the downstairs unit. We enjoyed the complimentary use of the bicycles and helmets and rode into Flam, a great alternative on a cloudy day that was not ideal for hiking. The owners do warn you to use the bikes at your own risk, so unless you are experienced riding alongside speeding traffic, it is not a safe ride. Because the key is handed to you, we couldn't quite estimate what time we would arrive from Bergen, but everything worked out fine as the owners live within 15 minutes.

Spectacular views and fantastic location overlooking the fjord . Great base for hiking and a short walk from the local bakery and supermarket. Apartment was clean and cosy, with v comfortable beds and well equipped. Hosts were incredibly welcoming and helpful.
