Appartamento Monica

An old-style, spacious apartment full of quirky charm. Located in the historic quarter, it is a quieter position yet only a few minutes walk to the central area. Surrounded by little shops and wonderful eateries, there is a nearby supermarket and buses. The train station is about a 20 minute walk away. The host is incredibly helpful and friendly.

The apartment is a little dark and could use a good sweep but this does not detract from its authentic ambience.

The former private flat is located in the historic centre of Bologna just a five minutes from the San Domenico complex. It’s on the first floor in house from the 16th century, which was modernised several times. The host was very friendly and helpful. If You travel by car and plan to rent a garage, you must remember to give your car plate numbers to register the vehicle in the system of the restructed traffic zone (ZLT).

The size of the apartment is great, the furniture is a bit old but very comfy. Our host was very helpful and told us a lot of good hints and tips to visit Bologna.

The host forgot to manage the ZTL registration of my car, the permit was managed after I've entered to the restricted zone. The aparment would worth a maintenance here and there.

Large, comfortable apartment with old world decor, sort of like staying in your Italian grandmother's place, nice but much is very dated and perhaps not to everyone's taste, especially the bathrooms and kitchen, but they had a certain charm and nice to experience. The apartment looks like the photos but is even bigger, especially the 2nd middle room which has two single beds and a desk. Good location close to stores and centro. Host very nice and provided extraordinary care and attention during checkin. Beds comfortable and wifi good. Would be a nice idea to add a SmartTV in future, also :)

The kitchen could be better organized for people on long stays - lots of lids but they didn't match the pots. No cutting board or kettle. Having a bathtub was great but the hot water for it didn't work. A plumber was arranged soon to fix it but it would have been better for all things to be checked out for guests first ;)

Very spacious and comfortable. Like stepping back in time

A little challenging for small children, as there are many temptations. But not a fault of the appartment

It was fine

The house is very old and it is so crowded with so many furniture, it must be renovated, you can’t lock the main door of the house from the inside so we had to lock the door outside and one of the bathrooms was too small it didn’t fit a person inside

The host was friendly and gave us a map and some good ideas about what to see and where to eat.

It needs a thorough cleaning and decluttering. Very dusty - especially all those fake plants. The "terrace" was very unappealing because of all the stuff stored out there (mops, etc.)
