Green Glades Annex by StayStaycations

The location was quiet.

I rarely post a poor review but this was a very disappointing stay. The photo of the exterior was of the owner's house and not of the garage (which is where we stayed). The agent did not send the video re instructions for the location of the property until 2.00 am the following day. Luckily the owner was in and showed us where to go. The property was accessed down a lane at the back of the house. A Velux window had been left open by the cleaners so the floor and an upholstered dining chair were wet. A dirty tea-towel had been left in the washing machine. The water heater was broken; the agent put the onus on the owner to sort this. As it was the Easter weekend, he couldn't call anyone out. He offered a solution: that we took our washing up to his house which just wouldn't have been practical. Fortunately the shower was electric so it wasn't a complete disaster. The bedding was poor quality: a thin duvet and thin pillows with no pillow protectors. When I contacted the agent on our return and requested a refund, they were unapologetic and claimed I had been offered a solution to the problems which I had refused. Presumably they meant I should have walked across the garden to take the washing up to the owner. The charge for the cleaning of such a small property was unreasonable.

very clean and tidy with excellent facilities. parking was off road down an alley.

I liked the property but my partner was concerned about the area re theft. nothing happened

Tv didn’t work couldn’t get a signal. Leave shower as set as it get very hot if you turn it up! But clean and powerful.

Location Generally clean and tidy Quiet

Smoke alarm went off too easy when making toast Cold down stairs no heating other than the towel radiator in the bathroom. Disappointed by the broken door handle and the uncertainty of getting in and out but was replaced next day with something more substantial. We felt that this should have been repaired before we arrived. We could not make tv work, the only channel that seemed to work was Netflix but even that had 4-5 profiles all in a foreign language left by previous clients. Was hit and miss if you found something to watch.

Nicely laid out studio with good facilities. A couple of problems were dealt with really quickly by the agent and host

The unusually cold weather caused a problem with a lock freezing and the layout of the studio led the downstairs kitchen and bathroom area to be bitterly cold. As a result, through no fault of the host, my stay wasn't as comfortable as it might have been. The studio itself was well appointed and immaculate and the host dealt with a problem with the TV within minutes.
