Zeza´s apartament

Zeza was wonderful and welcomed us at her apartment. The kitchen was well equipped. In walking distance there is even a good bakery. Even when we had an emergency Zeza came to help! Thanks for that!

We loved the stay at the apartment, it was bigger than expected and we had the nicest view from our balcony! The apartment is in calheta, from where you can reach the while island very fast. Zeza was super sweet and so so helpful also with choosing destinations/hiking trips! We would highly recommend staying there and will come back for sure!

We loved everything

Zeza's apartment is huge - in fact I think it is bigger than my house! There are two large bedrooms, one en-suite, plus another which big enough for its two single beds. Both the kitchen and the living area are spacious, too. There is a balcony big enough to each meals and sit out with a sea view. (The current (as at Feb 24) building site opposite provided entertainment as well. Wouldn't say it spoilt the view. The allocated parking is inside in the garage on the floor directly below the apartment.

Really, nothing. Just be aware that Calheta is about 30 minutes west of Funchal and 45 from the airport. On the other hand, there are plenty of interesting places to visit locally, and Calheta Marina is a great place to eat!

Zeza is a wonderful and thoughtful host. The rooms were spacious. The apartment was well decorated. The kitchen was well equipped. We slept very well in the comfortable beds. We stayed for 6 nights. I would suggest that anyone planning to stay here should hire a car. There are lots of places to visit on the west side of the island.

Very comfortable and tastefully decorated apartment with access to the swimming pool. 10 minutes from the apartment is a very tasty restaurant and bakery. 20 min walk to the beach and supermarket. The owner very friendly and helpful, gave us a lot of tips and welcomed us very warmly.

We really liked the apartment (especially the details, balcony and the pool). Also the kitchen was very well equipped! Zeza is a wonderful host. We highly recommend the apartment :)

very well equipped, comfortable beds, good shower, well located for touring Madeira. Also had allocated parking. Zeza met us on arrival.

Pool was too cold to use regularly (in Feb/Mar), steep access road would be a problem for anyone with walking difficulties.

We loved Zeza's apartment, it was as good as on the photos. Zeza did some basic shopping for us, as we arrived very late, with the shops closed already. Apartment was fully furnished, everything we could have needed was there, even the birthday candles! Balcony was great, it was warm enough outside to use it during the evenings. External swimming pool was a great feature, we used it daily even though it was late October. Calheta was a great base to see the island, had really nice charm of a small town. Calheta marina offered whale & dolphin watching trips, which were spectacular. Please bear in mind that apartment is approx. 220m above sea level, and the main shop was beside the beach, so car was greatly needed. Roads very steep as everywhere in Madeira, but you can get used to it after couple of days.. Overall height recommended, we really had a great stay.
