Dimora del Papa

The location and the apartment itself is perfect. Even better than the pictures. We are very satisfied with our stay. The host is very kind and very helpful with his recommendations. We would gladly come back and stay few nights more.

My stay at Dimora del Papa was absolutely amazing! The apartment is stunning, full of character, elegance, and charm with fabulous art and beautiful treasures in every nook. When I arrived, Giuseppe sent me a wealth of wonderful recommendations, from the best food and wine to where to find the perfect pizza and even the best spot to watch the sunset with an aperitif! It was by far my favorite stay in Catania’s city center. Even though I traveled alone, I felt completely safe in this classic Catania building where local families live. It was a fantastic experience, and I will definitely book again! Also, I was running late to collect my bags at checkout, and Papa Giuseppe was so kind he didn’t even charge me a late checkout fee. Truly an exceptional host!

Excelente ubicación. Facilidad para el check-in de manera autónoma. El apartamento es precioso y con muchos objetos que son una joya. Muchos consejos para aprovechar el viaje por parte del dueño.Se puede aparcar en las inmediaciones (zona azul).

The apartment was very nicely decorated and was kept quite clean! It was on a relatively quiet street not too far from Parco Maestranze and some very good restaurants. The pull out bed in the living room was perfect for my friend who stayed with my mom and I during this trip.

The door at the main entrance of the apartment building was very loud if you allowed it to shut on its own, so you had to be sure to close the door gently so as not to disturb everyone (& set the neighbor’s dogs off!) Also, taking the key for the lights out when we left each time meant the fridge would shut down with the electricity, which had us a little worried about the leftovers we had in it (granted, none of us were used to the kind of set up so we were admittedly probably doing something wrong). This is more funny than anything, but we were spooked a couple of times by the smart home device in the entertainment center. We couldn’t figure out what we had said each time that made it speak to us, but we certainly weren’t expecting that, haha!

Excellent experience. Nice modern large apartment style renovated within an ancient building, close to anywhere in centro region. Easy check-in. Not private parking but there are plenty of street parking around.

None. Bathroom is upstairs if you don’t mind.
