Bad communication and comfort

The only positive aspect of Mazzini House is its convenient location — just a 5-minute walk from Catania’s historic center. Unfortunately, our experience was very frustrating otherwise.

Unfortunately, our experience was very frustrating otherwise. Check-in was complicated and time-consuming. The host sent us outdated video and photo instructions showing how to collect the keys from the local bar, but the bar and nearby buildings had changed completely. It took us nearly half an hour to locate the correct place and finally get the keys. No clear instructions were provided for finding or using the air conditioning remotes. When we contacted the host, we received no real help — only dismissive messages insisting that “everything should work.” We managed to get the AC working in the main bedroom, but not in the hallway, leaving the guest bedroom without any air circulation and impossible to sleep in. The next morning, we figured out how to turn on the hallway unit ourselves, only to find a puddle of water forming on the floor due to condensation. Again, the host offered no assistance, only blamed us. Throughout our stay, the host seemed most concerned about collecting the city tax in cash rather than addressing these issues. Overall, we cannot recommend this apartment and request that Booking.com consider at least a partial reimbursement for the inconvenience and lack of support.

Το κατάλυμα ειναι κεντρικότατο !!!Σε πολυ ωραια περιοχή!!! Νιώθαμε ασφάλεια!Ο Αντώνιο είναι εξαιρετικός οικοδεσπότης,φιλικός και όποτε κ αν τον χρειαστηκαμε παρών!

Στο κατάλυμα παρόλο που υπάρχει κουζίνα δεν υπήρχε απολύτως τιποτα βρώσιμο η πόσιμο..θα μας αρεσε να βρίσκαμε καφέ ή τσάι!! Και ενα μικρό βοηθητικό τραπεζάκι στο σαλόνι νομίζω χρειάζεται!Κατα τα αλλα όλα ήταν μια χαρά!

La struttura molto accogliente fornita di tutto vicinissima al centro storico e devo fare un grande ringraziamento al proprietario di casa disponibile molto simpatico e per ogni consiglio che abbiamo chiesto non ci ha deluso in niente sicuramente se tornerò a Catania cercherò questa struttura di nuovo grazie ad Antonioenjoy the best voto dieci

Host molto gentile e accogliente, la casa molto bella e comoda, e vicino alla movida di Catania. Consigliata

Antonio is a very willing and helpful host. We stayed for 10 days without any problems. There was some misunderstanding from my side (or better say during the booking process), but with Antonio we solved it before check-in. The apartment is practically in the historical city centre with A/C and fully equipped. Located on the first floor (for Americans on the second floor), the elevator is available. Apartment is spacious and clear. Note: I recommend communicating the charges with Antonio in advance. E.g. city tax or charge for washing machine (15€ for 10 days). We made so and then everything was clear.

The kitchen could be better equipped. There was just one knife available, but we made it. Microvawe would come in handy.

הבעלים איש נחמד מאוד, מאוד אדיב ורצה להסביר ולספר לנו מה כדאי לראות ולאן כדאי ללכת. המיקום מרכזי מאוד ומעולה!

לא קיבלנו את הדירה שהופיעה בתמונה אלא דירה אחרת בקומת קרקע. הדירה היתה יפה מאוד אבל ללא אוורור, מלאה ברטיבות, באמבטיה המרצפות מתרוממות, המים יוצאים החוצה, ריח מסריח מאוד.
