I was very late due to a ferry delay from Lipari to Milazzo. I missed my arrival time with several hours. However, I had great communication with the owner so he waited outside the apartment when I arrived. The apartment is in the very centre of the historic Catania. The location is absolute fantastic two hundred meters from the world-famous fish market. The apartment has gas stove, gas owen, fridge in the kitchen. The sleeping area is on top of the kitchen with the usual hard Italian style beddings. Hot and cold water in the showers. Internet worked well most of the time some minor problems. The manager is very service minded and helpful speaks good English. He will provide you with map and information about Catania. The manager did not ask for so called City tax!

There is nothing to complain about this is a very nice place. However, the manager needs payment in cash. This can be arranged at a ATM about one hundred meter from the apartment. Be preparerad for cash payment.

The location was great for during the day - on the doorstep of the main fruit, vegetable and fish market, close to the Duomo and main square and within walking distance of many of the old city centre areas of Catania. However during the night, particularly at the weekend, the area is very loud and we could hear music and parties all night and into the early hours of the morning. Luckily my partner and I are heavy sleepers and were staying on the top floor of the apartment block so the noise was probably a little more muffled than for those on the lower floors. The room was honest, not luxury but it was value for money and had a nice little terrace area which we could sit out on and was well-equipped with kitchen utensils for when we brought home fresh pasta from the nearby fresh pasta shop (highly recommended)!

The listing said that there was nearby parking however this refers to on-street parking. As the apartment is in an area you don't really want to arrive at by car (nightmare with one way directions on the nearby roads etc.) it is not ideal and then (if you can actually find an available space!) you wouldn't really want to park if you have a rental car and don't want to get it scratched/damaged; lots of people passing by and potentially leaning on your car at night as it's an area lots of people gather and BYOB on the street with friends (can also feel a little intimidating at night). Doesn't seem particularly secure on this front so in the end as we had hired a car we found a separate private covered garage.

For a Studio it was exactly what we needed for 2 days, it had all the main things needed for a short stay, was clean and close to everything! I loved the terrace the most! it was very secure and I felt safe staying alone on the second night.

It could have a few more utensils and the shower was a little small but everything was clean and as I said, I had all I needed for a studio apartment and was clean :)

The host was very welcoming, friendly, hospitable and always willing to help out. We had everything we needed at the apartment. The location of the accomodation was very central, we could go everywhere in walking distance.

Marcello was a great host, he gave us lots of information about Catania. The apartment itself was perfect, had everything we needed and close enough to the city centre and bus station to be able to get around.

Marcello is a very good, warm and kind man. He is happy to give advice on where and what to get to the attractions. Where to buy Sicilian delicacies etc. The apartment meets the expectations of people who came to visit Sicily. Clean and sufficiently equipped. Very close (10 min.) Fish Market, fruit, cheese and local wine market. Very close to cafes and fresh food restaurants. Very close (10 min.) Stop with city buses and Alibus to the airport. I heartily recommend this place and Marcello.

Nice, clean and cozy apartament with comfortable bed. Very good location, near to most all atractions in town. Very good communcation. Very kind and helpful host.
