The location was really good. There are so many places near the hostel. And the host was nice and kind.

Very central location in the historic area, adjacent to Teatro Massimo Bellini. It is a convenient and easy walk to most of the city. Clean, very charming, and thoughtfully furnished with nice decorative touches reflecting the character and the history of the city. It was a lovely and comfortable home-away-from-home to come back to at the end of a day's sightseeing - with the occasional "bonus" of having lovely music wafting over from the orchestra and choir rehearsals. Riccardo was an excellent host - friendly, very obliging and responsive. We could drop off our suitcases at the apartment early (before the check-in time and while the apartment was still being cleaned), he met us on our arrival and again on our departure, helped us with carrying our suitcases, provided us with information about the nearest laundromat, supermarkets etc and arranged for a taxi to take us to the airport. All in all, a great stay!

The kitchen and eating area is more than adequate for making breakfast or a simple lunch. But for our 2 week stay (and we enjoy going to the local markets and cooking "at home") a kitchen with a bit more bench-space and some better pots, pans and other utensils would have made the apartment perfect. A small dining table either in the living area (which is a bright and airy space) or on the small balcony would also have been a nice addition. A note about the city: For visitors who are unaccustomed to the graffiti and tagging on buildings, the appearance of the street could appear slightly intimidating. But we felt perfectly safe walking around, even very late at night.

Apartment 2 minutes walk from main squares, host helpful and very enthusiastic, clean, all good, kitchen appeared to have everything needed but we eat out as there are so many good places to eat near by. Used as we needed to be near airport and accommodation around airport isn't good, this apartment was perfect for that, 5 minutes walk to bus station for airport bus that runs every 15 minutes.

We found it hard to find, go down road with arch to right hand side of opera house, half way down there on right if it helps anybody.

The apartment is located in the centre, very close to all the amenities, comfortable beds, air-conditioned and basically it has everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Roberto, the host, is a lovely guy, very funny and attentive.

Excellent location, close to the Teatro Massimo Bellini, Piazza Duomo and many other main sights. The owner Riccardo is a very positive and helpful person. We will definitely stay there our next trip to Catania. Thank you Riccardo!
