Apartment Köln Deutz

The apartment was so much better than the anonymous, vanilla apartment offered by the big companies (where you get four knives, four forks, four plates etc etc). There were so many additional things you wouldn’t expect in a standard apartment.

Good location. Easy to access sights and public transport. Lovely and warm. Very clean.

Kitchen taps. Hot water is scalding, potentially dangerous

Spacious flat with usual facilities in a concrete block very near the arena. Comfy beds, space to relax, decent sized balcony.

There is a lack of recycling facility or detail in the flat. We were not given instructions on which flat it was ahead of time, or details of how to get into the building ....which would have been useful. The water out of the kitchen tap is exceedingly hot and it is hard to get cold water. There was mouldy coffee left in the filter machine and while there was a pot with coffee grounds in, there was not enough coffee there to be useful! I am sensitive to smells and found the smell of the laundry products on the bedding and towels almost unbearable and could smell it on my skin all day.

The location was perfect. Apartment had everything we needed.The Host was lovely to deal with. We would stay there again if ever visiting Cologne
