Protea House

Great location for exploring the old town.

Blankets. There was only a sheet and it got a bit chilly. We asked for a blanket but never received one.

Amazing location - right in the heart of the old town and near to everything. Really comfortable bed and good AC. Great communication from host. Kitchen facilities are excellent, and the washing machine was very useful for us. Great base for exploring the region.

Do NOT trust Google Maps to drive to the location, especially at night time - the streets are narrow (but beautiful) and crowded from 7pm onwards. Park in the newer town and walk to the rooms to save your sanity! . A really minor thing is that there are 6 chairs in the studio, for 2 people - could be useful to make some more space by reducing the amount of chairs - but not a big issue!

I had a wonderful stay at this accommodation. The location was excellent, with restaurants, cafes, and pubs all within close proximity. The owner was very helpful and made sure we had everything we needed. Highly recommended!

I liked everything.

The apartment was lovely, in the heart of the city with everything on your feet. Manuela is a super host, very responsive and had taken care of all details. The automatic check in was very convenient and she also made the apartment available much earlier than expected which was really appreciated! The apartment is spacious enough, very nicely decorated, clean and equipped with anything you need, even beach umbrella and accessories! I highly recommend it!

All was perfect. Thanks to Manuela for everything. We could leave our suitcases before check-in. Excellent communication with Manuela,great host. We will choose Protea House again. Thank you again.

A very cozy, clean, well-equipped apartment in a lovely location - in the old town. Nearby there are shops, restaurants, ATMs, bus stops from which you can get to the airport and many beautiful places. Very quiet, so you can sleep well 😊 Great contact with the lovely owner. I highly recommend it 😊

The hosts were extremely responsive. The hosts mother lived in Alghero and had her come over twice to help with issues. The location was excellent, right in the old town, fairly easy to find.

Coming from Canada, turning the electricity on with a key is unheard of. The hosts had a video they sent which explained it. There was not enough hot water for two people to shower even if the water was turned off while soaping up. The apartment was very small, two can’t pass each other in the bathroom. And make sure you are parked in correct areas as they have police walking all over the tourist area all the time giving out parking tickets. That isn’t a Protea House issue, but be aware of it if you are driving.

The apartment was in the centre of alghero,with all the restaurants and cafes around it. It was well equipped,clean and comfortable,and they gave us all the informations about the check in-check out and about everything what we needed. I would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a nice place to stay in alghero😊
