It was a central location

We booked an apartment with 2 rooms for 2 guests but given 1 set of keys, no option to change this despite explaining we were not a couple and would be going out exploring separately. The beds were terrible, cheap nasty pillows, stained bedding with what looked like blood. There was fries under the bed from previous guest and clumps of hair on the floor. The shower tray was filthy with mould and masking tape on the tiles, left and covered in black mould. The drains stunk, the house basically smelt like sewage every evening. There was no sign of a smoke alarm or detector. The lights didn’t work in the kitchen/living room. You could hardly walk past one bed to get to the bathroom as they had crammed two beds into a too small space. The bathroom door wouldn’t close properly, the doors were damaged and the bedroom door was warped so couldn’t close either. None of the window dressings fit the windows so light comes in and neighbours can see too. It also overlooks a school, so potentially kids could see into the bedroom. The school bell seems to sound every 20 mins or so from 8 am. Furthermore, booking give me credits for about 10% of the cost of booking, no help to rebook or exchange, so disappointed with their customer service

The only good thing was the location

The property was disgusting. There was black mould in the kitchen giving off an awful smell. The windows were bolted shut so couldn’t circulate air. There was dirty bedding. Squashed bugs and blood on the walls. Emergency exit off the balcony but door handles removed from door to balcony. The bedroom and bathroom doors were removed so no privacy either. Booked for 3 nights but couldn’t even stay for 1 night due to the smell. Asked for a refund but was told no.

Location was great!
