Villa Isabela - Car Rental for Free

The apartment was small but fully sufficient. It had everything you need for a stay. It was very quiet and within the walking distance there was everything (restaurants, pharmacy, supermarkets…). The car provided was very handy - we had no problem to reach all parts of the island. Andre was helpful and very friendly.

There was a lot of mosquitos in the evening. This is not the problem of the property, just FYI.

Location and pool are very nice. Room was clean and comfortable. Comfortable to have car and room together!

Anti-mosquito could be an improvement, as well as giving body soap and shampoo. You will give a deposit for the car, but remember to take appointment with owner before check out and take it back or you risk to waste long time.

I want to thank the host Andre for the amazing accommodation. Everything was well organized and clean. If we wanted something, Andre made it work! The car was nice too. I would recommend this apartment!

Close to the airport, fairly away from crowds, few good restaurants around. While we had few micro hiccups at the arrival (well, life ...), Andre (owner) reacted immediately and took care of things. Standing firm at my 10 rating.

Not a negative, just something you don't see on photos - main bedroom is connected to the rest of the apartment (huge family space) so was taking zoom calls on (a very comfortable) balcony in the morning. Again, whole thing was tip top. M

We had a wonderful 11 day stay in Madeira at Andre’s place. This is not a scam listing, and I’m sorry that it was reviewed as such. We took Andre up on the offer of the car, and it was indispensable. The listing is exactly as pictured, was immaculate and the view is beyond amazing. The location is great for getting around the island, and was totally away from the touristy areas. It was however walking distance to shops and cafes. Andre went above and beyond to make sure all our needs were met, and could not have been a more gracious host.

From start to finish it was a 10 out of 10, Andre picked us up and then dropped us off at the airport and took us to the beach when we wanted to go, can not thank Andre enough and will definitely be back 👍

Absolutely nothing, a perfect holiday

The property is built on 4 levels set into the hillside similar to probably 90% of all residential buildings on Madeira. The roof line is set at street level with apartments at levels 4,3 and 2 down from there. Floor 1 at the bottom contains the swimming pool and loungers. I can only account for the apartment on level 2. They may all be different formats. This apartment has 1 very large double bed in the massive main room and 1 quite small single bed in a separate room. It's very well equipped throughout and although I wasn't expecting it a lady cleaned the apartment a couple of times on the week we were there. Outside is a full length private balcony with plenty of space and the best sea view you're likely to find. Sun from rising to setting. All 3 apartments have totally separate front doors. The area is hilly but not unlike everywhere else on the island. Up from the apartment is a street with plenty of bars restaurants and shops, enough for an average length stay. Easy bus access into Funchal if you want to leave the car behind (recommended). Down from the apartment is the coastline and again an easy but hilly walk. Up or down doesn't need the car. In fact you'll probably have more trouble parking than walking. The included car is great just like a standard car hire agreement but no forms and insurance hassle. Just leave a €200 refundable cash deposit. Check the car over and leave the petrol level as you found it. It's outside already and you leave it there at end. Parking no problem. Communication was excellent before during and departure. Paid half up front by bank transfer and the remainder by bank transfer on arrival. Just provide arrival times at the airport and you get a lift from and back to the airport. Overall excellent throughout. Thoroughly recommend. Not forgetting the friendly residential white cat that somehow gets fed.
