Haxby House by Switchback Stays

I am not sure if Claire was a bot or the actual hostess but she was in one word AMAZING!! She was always available and responsive and I did not face any kind of hassle while reaching the property or while being in it. It was the perfect getaway for a family, a couple or a group of friends. I would highly recommend staying in Haxby court by Switchback stays in Cardiff. It’s a much better option than staying in any kind of hotel where you cannot spend time with each other. Thank you Claire for being the best hostess and thank you switchback stays for giving me the best experience.

The property was in a very good location for getting into the centre of Cardiff and also for getting to Mermaid Quay. It had its own parking space just a minute's walk from the house and it was warm, clean and comfortable.

We would have liked the kitchen to be better equipped. Although a microwave was supplied there was nothing suitable for microwaving vegetables so we had to use the small cereal bowls with side plates as 'lids'. A fish slice/spatula and serving spoons would also have been useful.

Bathroom could be cleaner

nice amount of space with a small garden to enjoy the sun (when it is out). Comfortable rooms (one large, one small (single bed) and a sofa bed in the downstairs lounge. The wi-fi was strong and stable and we were able to watch the euros and Wimbledon on the smart TV. The property was clean and communication with the hosts was prompt and clear.

it is between the city center and the wharf and if you have a car also has a dedicated car parking space. If you do not have a car, it can be a bit of a walk in inclement weather.

The property was well located and an easy walk into the city and Castle. It is in a quiet neighbourhood also.

Great little house with everyone you need. Off street parking was a real bonus

Double bed in master bedroom was a bit of a squeeze for my husband and I.
