Central, nice location and the apartmant is simple, but nice. It was interesting to watch the night and morning life of the city from the balcony, although it is in a narrow street. Very good value for money. The host was flexible regarding one of our requests.

I would recommend it for only 2 people. As someone else has already written, the upstairs neighbor walks quite loudly. The seats of all the chairs were cracked, they weren't really stable.

2 people, 6 nights in the winter. 1. SHOWER Leak below the door, soaking the floor. Bathroom rug disintegrating (we didn't consider using it). Towels needed in the floor to walk by. Severe leak between the hose and the showerhead: hose with a defect, not possible to install the rubber sealant (I repaired the hose, bought and installed a sealant. 2. TOWELS 2 hand towels, 2 very small bath towels. No kitchen hand towel. No drying rack. Impossible to get them dry in the winter. Also, towels needed for the bathroom floor. Pile in the ground floor with lots of towels, including big bath ones. Landlord politely asked for permission to take more towels. Also, politely informed that I repaired the leak in the shower hose. Answered an unpolite yes, saying that towels were supposed to be replaced only after 4 days (unwritten rule). No thanks about the sealant (I took it off before the check-out). 3. TOILET PAPER By default: 4 rolls and a half. The smallest in the market, very thin low quality paper. No napkins or kitchen paper, so we improvised like boy scouts. Packs with hundreds of rolls in the ground floor. Landlord asked for permission to take some. Unpolite yes with a warning that we were supposed to bring our own rolls after finishing the available ones (unwritten rule). 4. BED By default: no mat cover, 2 summer sheets, 1 very thin blanket, 1 ultra thin useless summer bed cover. 1 extra very thin blanket in a plastic pack. A single person would freeze. The landlord never showed up to replace the sheets and we didn't ask for them either. Let her clean the mat. 5. OTHERS No dinner plates. One plate with dried fish scales. Anti-firing mat out of place. No extra trash bags. First-aid kit box empty, except for a plastic tweezer. Shovel but no broom. Not all listed facilities available (hairdryer, drying rack, soundproofing, iron, etc.). Room window does not open. Damaged chairs. Heavily stained sofa. Trash under the bed. Etc.

We're really excited about everything.

We were a little bit cold.

Great location, clean, well equipped. I could hear the street music and the students celebrating, which was lovely. Easy access to shops, restaurants and tourist sites. Made me fall in love with Coimbra.

Upstairs neighbors were super noisy. They seemed to come in between midnight and three am every night, and I could hear EVERY footstep. If you’re also a night owl, though, I couldn’t recommend this place more highly.
