Lovely and spacious in an excellent location. Easy bus journey from train station and a short walk to the cathedral and old town. The host was very welcoming and lives above the apartment, but we did not see or hear her until we asked to borrow an iron which she was kind enough to lend. She speaks good English. The bedroom is very comfortable and there is an excellent bathroom. The kitchen is well stocked. A safe area and very quiet.

We weren’t expecting a washing machine but that would be very helpful for guests in the future. The host did tell us there is a laundrette nearby.

Comfortable, spacious, and homey apartment in a beautiful location. The bed was large with plenty of room to move around. The open-plan kitchen/dining area had all the facilities you could need. The bathroom only had a sliding door and no window, but the ventilation seemed to work well and it was very clean. Location was excellent. Central but just a little enough away from the centre of things and the bigger more populous touriat spots. Has good access to the surrounding area where pretty much everything is walkable. Our host was lovely and welcoming, providing useful information on Bamberg, and advised we could leave a list of supplies to request like milk/coffee etc if desired. There were also some interesting reading materials in the apartment with art/literature of Bamberg, as well as leaflets of things to do and see. They take cash for payment and we're so used to card for everything now, but they were very accommodating and we were able to arrange PayPal transfer as an alternative. (There are some cash machines that accept Visa/MasterCard in the banks in the centre if needed, and if you don't get charged too much for withdrawals, you may also need cash in some venues that are cash only).

If you're a light sleeper and not used to church bells starting in the early morning, you may want to shut the windows or use ear plugs.

Right near the old town, convenient to restaurants and historical sites.

Car parking is extremely inconvenient and expensive. Cash only for payment which is not highlighted during booking and only shows in inconspicuous way.

Delightful little self-contained apartment in a location which is very convenient for exploring the town. Quirky and lovely decor, great facilities and exactly what we were hoping for.

As it was a self-catering apartment with good facilities, there wasn’t really anything not to like.

shower floor is dangerously slippery. there are 3 doorways inside and each one has a little trip point.

Location was within easy walking distance to the Old City. Ulla was away but made sure that someone was there to greet us, even though we arrived a little early. She also left milk, beer and water in the hallway which could be purchased, with money to be paid on the honors system.

The booking description was incorrect. There is NO FREE PARKING nearby. The description said that free parking was in a nearby location, but the closest was at least a kilometer away. And even so, parking is at your risk, according to Tourist Info. We received a $10 parking fee, had to move our car and ended up paying $18/day to park in the garage. I do not blame the owner for the parking situation because it is within the city. However, she should not make it appear that you can park close to the house. When we arrived, there wasn't even space to park and unload. Also, the apartment needs a second chair or couch.
