Gorgeous Brasov Flat with Patio and Mountain Views

I stayed for 2.5 months on a working assignment. Location was fantastic, right in the old town but you are in a courtyard of local residents, which gives it a cool and rustic vibe. You feel like one of the locals. The hosts were very accommodating, fixing any maintenance issues etc. Very helpful.

Poor soundproofing, unfortunately. It's right next to a street but that's okay, you might expect that and the cars running over the manhole cover right outside the bedroom window actually didn't bother me. It's Eastern Europe and a beautiful old town so you have to expect cobblestoned streets to be noisy, no issue there because they went quiet when the traffic died down at night time. But the bedroom backed onto the bedroom of another rented flat in the same complex, right next door. It was great during the week as no one was living next door but on the weekends I felt like I was in someone else's bedroom, clearly hearing all the activity and conversations that might be going on, sometimes all through the night. I don't want to be a downer for anyone's fun in the bedroom but it's not fun if you are not able to get away from it for hours on end. Would definitely benefit from some soundproofing between the rooms as I had to use ear plugs.
