Prespes Lake View Family Apartment

Nice and spacious apartment, with balcony overlooking the lake and the pelicans flying around. The island is a quiet and pleasant place (with small friendly dogs hanging around). No noise here, just birds and frogs singing.

The view of the lake was amazing. Very cozy, clean and warm room.It had everything we needed. Also great location if you enjoy bird watching and nature in general. Easy access to a cozy restaurant with great food and local dishes.

The mattress of the bed didn’t suit our preferences. It was very soft for us.

The apartment is in a unique position. Above a small farming community on an island within a lake, you have to walk over a foot bridge for the last 600 meters or so. It is surrounded by plants that pelicans nest in. They catch hot air and soar into the blue sky. Damn cool. Never seen anything like it. The island is walkable within 1.5 hours, but good shoes might be recommended. There are ruins from Greek Orthodox Monasteries there that are very cool. The host was always reachable on the phone and always had recommendations for us. We had an issue with the water (discussed below) but the host immediately provided us with bottled water and even refunded us the day we had the issue. We didn't need to ask! Very professional.

The water line was broken by some construction in the area during our stay. It wasn't the fault of the host. They helped us and even gave us a refund. Just as a heads up, the property is a bit buggy. Also be prepared to be relatively isolated from commercial options like a grocery store.
