Alameda Formosa I by An Island Apart

Great place to stay for family with 2 children. Continent supermarket 10 min walk. Beach 15 min walk. View from balcony is even better than in pics. Old town under 10 min taxi dependending on traffic.

Could be less noise from traffic on balcony, but you can't avoid it living in that part of Funchal. Inside apartment you can't hear traffic at all.

Cumbersome security measures

The apartment is beautifully decorated and has a wonderful view of the ocean. The facilities are great with a dishwasher and washing machine and the kitchen was well equipped. Pool towels were provided which was great and the pool itself was lovely and never busy. Two bathrooms was very handy and there was ample toilet roll/ kitchen roll provided.

The location was a little out of the centre but in a Bolt taxi it only cost €6 to get there. The area is more of a residential area but it's nice to feel you're living like a local. No hand towels were provided and the shower mat towel was slightly grubby/ in need of replacement.

Fantastic clean and well equipped apartment, comfortable beds and a great balcony to enjoy a sunny breakfast. The swimming pool was also very clean and attractive. Easy bus service into the city centre from just outside.

Very busy road with noisy traffic during the daytime. Swimming pool on the cool side but still enjoyable.

The apartment was amazing, very clean, modern and well furnished. Had everything you need, very spacious, amazing sea view. Great for a family holiday. Definitely I would recommend and we would go back again.

The apartment is beautiful, spacious, clean and comfortable. Pool, AC, fully equipped kitchen, great view, parking spot, safe and so on. Will surely return here.

wifi was a bit slow

- excellent location - nice amenities - amazing ocean view - and nicely furnished! - the pool and parking are also perfect

- some nights little bit noisy neighbors - noisy street - dust under the couch - missing capsule coffee machine

Beautiful, clean apartment that was nicely furnished. The service was faultless. Whenever we needed something, it was arranged very quickly. Nothing to complain about.

The location of the apartment was pleasant (close to shops, restaurants and the beach). The only negative was the slightly busier street, but the noise was not too great.
