"Gorgeous flat, but right on a noisy road"

Beautifully decorated and extremely lavish. It’s really large with a gorgeous view from the bedroom of the ocean. The kitchen is well equipped and the tv and couch is huge. Lots of wardrobe space and a modern bathroom.

It’s right on the road, so unless you close the sliding doors (there are no windows) all you can hear is cars. LOUD CARS. Also, it says in the FAQs that all sea view apartments have a balcony. The flat we stayed in did not have a balcony, just sliding doors. It’s a really nice flat but we felt obliged to keep the doors closed all day and night, so the flat had a bit of a stuffy smell.

Great location and dedicated parking spot were definitely highlights. The apartment was very spacious for two people and the view was gorgeous. Before you book please check if your apartment has outdoor space, because it's easy to book the wrong one judging only by the photos. Nearby bakery was superb for home made breakfasts and city center was within the walking distance.

The hosts were the only ones that spoiled our stay. We never got to see them and be sure that if they need something, they will reach out right away and otherwise, you can be left on delivered for quite some time. We stay for a week and had one toilet paper roll at our disposal. We were advised to get more on our own. In our apartment there was also juliet balcony door that could be easily opened from the outside and the only response we got was that "Funchal is a safe place". Well, it is until something happens and it doesn't really let put your mind at ease.

Great location in Funchal, amazing view and close to some great amenities

As with a lot of other properties on the island the drains will smell from time to time
