Little Townsuite Funchal

One of the nicest apartments I have been, located close to the center of Funchal. Well equipped and everything clean and comfortable.

Nothing special. You have to know that there is a lot of inclination until you reach but this is Funchal and that sometimes the parking availability depends on the luck. Nevertheless, nothing for us was a problem because we walk down and upwards.

Friendly owners and always ready to help. The apartament was nice and clean, equiped with everything we needed during our one-week stay in Madeira. Near the old town.

Only little disadvantage is the steep hill to come from the old town. But, you know, Madeira is like that ;)

From the moment we met with Anna and received the keys, we felt like Little Townsuite Funchal was our home away from home. The unit was spotless and comfortable, beautifully decorated, and had everything thing we needed. In fact, the extra effort that was provided for the stay made us feel like we were more than welcomed guests.

Very nice and cozy place, just as described and on the pictures and what we expected. Well equipped kitchen with all that you might need. There is no reserved parking space but easy to park on the street. Very quiet area at just 15 minutes foot walking from the Funchal center and all buses, and at the same time away from the crowded central streets. Easy to get in and get out of Funchal, close to main roads. Polite and responsive owners that once we booked the place have provided us very useful information especially for the Madeira hikes. Just a few steps away there is a small bar with a nice view where you can take a brake and snack after an exhausting day/hike. On the next street we found this treasure "Rota 23 hamburgueria" where they make gorgeous burgers and its very convenient if you come home late and you don't want to go down to the center for dinner.

Nothing that would stop us to stay there again if we go to Madeira again and nothing that the owners can change. Quite nosy neighbors (talking loudly until late night) if you want to sleep at open doors to get a fresh air which is also a bit hard because the apartment is in a very closed area. The dog next door was annoying because it is barking at every slight movement. Too soft mattress to our taste. No mosquito nets but still the owners have provided an anti-misquito liquid to switch on.

The apartment was modern, clean and very comfortable. The air conditioning worked really well. The kitchen was very well equipped and the bedroom was really comfy. The outside area was nice too. The owners were very friendly and always on hand to answer questions. There was a snack bar next to the property, very good value for money and with a great view. We loved going here for breakfast.

Be warned, this is not the best location if you come to Funchal without a car as we did. Although getting to the centre was easy enough (about a 15 to 20 minute walk downhill) the walk back was very tiring and up a big steep hill, not fun in the hight of summer. There are buses but they do not run often. There is also not much within walking distance of the apartment except the snack bar so although fine with a car I would say without a car not the best location. We still had a good time though and got fit walking the steep hill each evening. In the evenings it can get noisy as the apartment is overlooked by many other apartments. Nothing too bad but just something to be aware of.

Well located, beautifully decorated and comfy apartment with all required amenities.
