Campo Verde House, La Fortuna de San Carlos

We loved the atmosphere of having quietness and serenity at the end of our days as we did many activities in and around LA Fortuna. It was a short drive out of town.@ 5 to 7 minutes to city central. It was secure and gated. The bedroom and bathroom are extremely clean and comfortable. Air conditioning was wonderful after day treks. The kitchen is outside which I thought was wonderful as I loved cooking and eating in a natural environment. There are 2 levels of kitchen/dining and also another patio attached where I could sit and also do yoga in nature. Also a hammock on the kichen level to unwind and relax to the sounds of nature. We booked a second night almost immediately as we loved the place so much. Nature right in front of us!!

There was nothing I didn't like.

We loved the location and our host Hugo when we stayed here in June. This appartment has a spacious terrace, airconditioning and pretty decent facilities. It had a few bugs though, but this is part of the offered in-nature experience. For a bug's free room or patio better go to the hotel. If you like nature and don't need a pool or boutique you can't go wrong with this one. It helps to have a rental though, getting around would be pretty difficult without. Ps, ask Hugho about the animals. He'll your you around. There's a lot of different bird species around and you can view then from your (covered) terrace. You're right in the spot for watching squirrels, toucans, mot mots, sloth's (Hugo always seems to find them), blue jean strawberry frogs and we even saw two porcupines. All within the compounds of the appartment.

As mentioned, it's a bit out of town and there were some bugs here and there.

Kind family, beautiful setting, lots of animals around the house. The host gave us a private tour in the garden, showed and told us a lot about the flora and fauna. Would defenitely come here again.

Just wauw! Hugo is sooo kind, he shows you around in the garden and always seems to find the mama + baby sloth :-) The area is really nice, the house is extremely clean, the bathroom is great and the patio is just awesome, could sit there all day. Totally reccomend!!

Everything was good! Also: I read in the comments that the water in the shower is cold: that’s not true. It was a nice warm shower.

Our stay here was amazing, it is so nice and quite and the room was very nice. The apartment is in the forest, Hugo was so nice to show us around in the garden. We saw the sloth and parrot in the garden.

Maybe there could be a bit more accessoires for cooking. For example some oil and pepper and maybe some more cutlery.

Cozy and isolated house in La Fortuna. The open air kitchen area w/ a hammock was one of the best I have experienced. It felt like relaxing in your living room that happens to be inside a natural zen garden full of animals. We saw more sloths, birds and large lizards in this place, than most of our nature walk excursions. The host was great. He showed us some sloths and their babies when we arrived.

The kitchen was only partially stocked Due to construction in the city, the water was shutoff for several hours without warning

The property was even better than the pictures show. Right on a little creek with an outdoor kitchen and seating area. My favorite was the hammock. I wish I had more time to spend just relaxing at the property. The posts Grettel, and her daughter were so incredibly lovely and accommodating.

I should’ve expected it, but didn’t realize the shower would be cold.

The place was very comfortable, it wasn't difficult to find. The family lived in a house right next to us, so if we had any problems, they could help right away. On top of that everything was very clean and new. We really looked forward to going to sleep there and relaxing. The price was very much worth it and I highly recommend it.
