Stadtwohnung Franz bis 6 Personen Hallein bei Salzburg

Though being in the very heart of old town, it is very quite, almost soundproof 👌🏻. We slept as never before 😊 Apartment is huuuuge, on 2 floors. Kitchen has everything you may need. Parking is nearby and free as pass is kindly provided by Mr Franz who is really caring and friendly. Overall- great experience!

Everything was perfect!

What a nice surprise to find this gem! The house was surprisingly spacious and I need everything I need. Do go there on the weekend! You can enjoy night market (mostly wine) on Friday night and fresh fruits, vegetables and sausage market on Saturday morning.

We had intended to stay in Salzburg, but are happy we "discovered" Hallein, which has everything you need within walking distance and a vibrant small-town atmosphere, but not the crowds and traffic congestion of Salzburg. We loved being in the center of the very pretty Altstadt (although, as some mentioned, it could be noisy with the windows open). The train station is just a 10-minute walk away and the reserved parking (a surface lot behind the Billa grocery store) is a six-minute walk. There are also a couple of metered parking spots across from the front door of the apartment building, which was helpful for unloading and loading luggage. There's a lockbox on the outside of the building with the apartment keys and parking ID card, so checking in and out is easy. The apartment takes up the entire top two floors of the building and we found it charming and comfortable. The kitchen is well-equipped and has a dishwasher (detergent provided). We met the owner, Franz, on our last day and he's very nice, so if you ever have a question or run into a problem, don't hesitate to contact him.

The washer and dryer are shared among the three units in the building (not a problem, just an FYI) and we had an unpleasant interaction with a neighbor who was very mad at us for breaking the "rules" surrounding the use of the machines, but we didn't know what the rules were! It would be helpful to post rules for the use of the machines, as well as instructions. A clothes drying rack in the apartment would be helpful too so that we don't have to rely on the dryer.
