Fantastic location at the foot of the Albaicin with spectacular views of the Alhambra. Within easy walking distance of the major attractions and many very good bars, restaurants, tea houses etc. The apartment was very characterful , spacious, clean and comfortable.

The apartment could have been better equipped in the kitchen (chopping board, breadboard, bread knife etc.). We had to buy a corkscrew (which we donated)!

Only complaint was that the pool wasn't available despite Booking.com confirming that it was which was one of the reasons we chose it - two disappointed and hot children would have appreciated it.

The location was amazing and the views of Alhambra outstanding. Well situated for restaurants and easy access to historic places of interest. The apartment was very comfortable although the pool was too cold to be enjoyed despite the amazing weather.

The communication with the apartment managing agency was poor. On arrival in Spain was provided with a WhatsApp txt which explained access to the property but initially the keys from the key safe didn’t work and the agent message indicated that they were closed for the day. Once l gained access with help from charming neighbours, some 30 minutes later, there was no basic instructions or information left for using the amenities such as wifi etc. Had anticipated a much better reception.

The apartment has a great location in Granada as well as a terrific view of Alhambra. It is also nicely furnished. The place would be ideal in spring or fall outside the high heat times. One of the local agents was very kind arranging for a taxi connection for us for an early morning train.

I had trouble finding out how to get the keys. I called booking.com and they said they would get the apartment rental company to email me. They never did before we left and when we got to Madrid we had to make several calls to the rental company. One week later I finally heard from booking.com but long after we had left Granada. The worst thing about the place was the lack of air conditioning. I didn’t see it listed as an amenity by booking.com but when I checked on that by calling the property agent in Granada directly, I was told there was air conditioning. But there was some miscommunication since there wasn’t AC. The ceiling fans just didn’t cut it. For such a high end property it ought to have air conditioning, particularly given the high temperatures of summer in Granada. Also, there was no orientation given for how to operate the apartment appliances (like the washer/dryer). My email/phone request for assistance and about AC wasn’t answered. Renters need to insist on being fully informed about the apartment before the agent leaves after giving the keys.

Proximity to Alhambra Palace and local restaurants. The view from the apartment is breathtaking. Estela the owner was so helpful. She guided our taxi driver to the apartment because he had trouble locating it. We don’t speak Spanish and Estela talked him through over the phone. She also has lots of good information about the local area / restaurants etc. I highly recommend this apartment.

Nothing …. There was some building renovation next to the apartment. It was loud, it vibrated and it was intrusive. However, that is not the fault of the property owner. When booking I’ve been reminded to all the question …is there building work next door or close by? Because it does impact you stay.

bathroom was in main bedroom so as two couples it felt a little invasive. The pool wasn’t clean which was disappointing.

The view of the Alhambra is the most excellent feature of this property. The apartment is close enough to walk to the Plaza Nuevo and el Centro. After a few initial hiccups with heating and a light fixture, which were all attended to, all went well. We had family nearby and the apartment was large enough to accommodate all easily and prepare family meals. Although close to the hustle and bustle the area immediate around the apartment was quiet. And did I mention the view of the Alhambra.

We are a couple of older fogies and the climb up the three flights of stairs caused us to have a sit down after we arrived. But then, we had that nice view of the Alhambra to take the edge off.

A charming apartment, great view of the Alhambra from the living room. Would have rated much higher but for niggles for our stay. It is 51 steps up to the top floor apartment - but worth it when you get there – comfy beds, spacious lounge/ dining. And quiet – a short walk up from main town.

Niggles: Mainly, no hot water! Three nights, all on cold showers. Weather in mid September not quite hot enough for that to be welcome. Chezmoi Homes first said would fix, then claimed apartment owners had not given permission. Frustrating. Also poor communication from Chezmoi of arrival info. We were told taxi from Malaga could come to the door, but it dumped us middle of Albaicin area to navigate steps and winding alleys via Google maps. Maybe out of town taxi is not allowed up Carrera del Darro; clear instructions would help. Then, a wait to get in - the company messaged that they would meet us at apartment, but were not there! Answerphone before finally got through on phone, then a 25 minute wait after long journey to get access. They claimed they informed us to message ahead but had not. If you are adults using two bedrooms as we were, you might want to know the bathroom is straight off a short open passage from the double bedroom.

The property is in a stunning location overlooking the Alhambra. There are beautiful views from every window. It is well appointed and very comfortable and attractive. There are interesting and helpful books available. There is a dishwasher and washing machine (behind a cupboard in the kitchen). There were also helpful provisions like washing powder, clothes horses, salt and pepper, napkins and milk which are small items that are much appreciated. There is no air conditioning but the fans and windows provide the perfect ventilation in the hotter weather. The wifi worked well. It was very quiet, the beds were comfortable and extra blankets were provided.
