Zulu Apartments Old Town

The location near Old Town was perfect. Apartment was cozy and nice. We loved our stay!

Instructions to enter were clear and sent in advance of our stay. Bed is mostly comfortable. Apartment was clean for our stay.

The property is in need of refurbishment. There are a lot of maintenance issues that other guests have also reported that have not been fixed, even though they are small and easy to repair. For example, a guest reviewed the shower head not staying up in January 2025, and in September 2025 for our stay it was still an issue - this is a €5 repair. The stairs to the bed are very slippery, and some anti-slip tape would easily solve the issue in the short term. The stairs to the bed are not safe and we almost slipped when walking down them. The sofa is very uncomfortable to sit on, and the TV is very small - so you wouldn't want to stay in the apartment for a long time at all. We also found that the microwave grill did not work (no power at all). On closer inspection it wasn't even screwed into the unit. We asked the host about the issue and she didn't respond until the end of the night with a careless and rude response saying 'I can't help with the microwave wile I am not there. I dont remember it.' A kitchen is not complete without an oven, and the microwave grill did not even work! The icebox door in the fridge was broken as it doesn't seal, and this was known to the host as it was duct taped shut. Again, this is a cheap repair and a replacement door costs at most €25 and 2 minutes to fit. The property is advertised as having a smoke alarm, but it had been removed and not replaced - the base was left on the wall. Also, the property is advertised as having a balcony, but there is only one chair so it is not like a couple can sit out there. The balcony is also the entrance to the property. Why advertise a balcony if there is not even any seating, let alone no table. Lastly, we wanted to do some washing and the property is advertised as having a washing machine and cleaning products. There was only half a teaspoon left of washing powder!
