Apartamento Gois

Locationa and the host are great. Most necessities for everyday life are there. Love the view. Content for the price is great and I would recommend it.

The only thing I didnt like was the couch as it described for sleeping for 2 people. And yes 2 people can fit, but its pretty old and used, so it is a bit uncomfy.

Great location to explore east side of the island. Beautiful view from the balcony on a quiet street and steps away from the amazing viewpoint. Close to Machico and all the great restaurants and beaches.

Initial check-in time was changed by the host about 5 minutes before the hour we had agreed to meet, which was unconvenient. It is in a somewhat rundown building very close to airport, so you can hear the planes take of and land. The appartement itself is quite soundproof though.

The apartment is spacious, has a large terrace, convenient for watching the planes take off and land at Madeira airport. The noise from the planes is felt, but there are no departures at night. There is a large supermarket nearby. The location is ideal as a starting point for a tour of the island.

The meeting with the host took place several kilometers from the apartment, which was strange. The sofa bed was not prepared for the two children we were traveling with. The sheets were dirty. There was no bin in the bathroom.

Amazing view from the terrace a nearby airport is an entertainment as you can watch the departures /arrival drinking coffe.

That I had to go home :)

The apartment had everything we needed for a short stay. The kitchen was well equipped and we were able to cook meals during our stay. The view from the balcony was lovely, overlooking the ocean. The host seemed very nice and responsive, and even picked us up from the airport and showed us around a bit upon arrival. Location wise, this is relatively close to town. A taxi or Bolt generally cost 5 to 8 Euros. There is also a trail down to town but this would only be appropriate for surefooted people who are not scared of heights. There is a bus stop directly by the building that goes all the way to Funchal. The airport is also very close by.
