Orchard by Kozystay - Setiabudi

We really enjoy the apt. It was really well thought with all the amenities and utensils for kitchen, even the washing machine with detergent and softener. Our stay was fantastic.

Great central location, clean spacious apartment, comfortable bed. Easy to get taxis from the apartment (important in Jakarta).

The apartment itself is clean, but there are many stains on the couch. Kitchen appliances are not super complete. Seems like this is a private apartment that is being rented out (ala Air BnB). Nothing wrong with that, but would be great to manage expectation, because: *The apartment building is not called Orchard by Kozystay, it’s called something else. We only got the information AFTER we contacted them because we couldn’t find the right building *Although it’s called ‘aparthotel’, this is NOT a service apartment. No cleaning, change of towels or bedding, nor replenishment of toilet paper, soap, etc (you have to pay extra) *You have to pay IDR 1.000.000 for deposit via local bank account (!) that you will get back 3 days after check out. This information was written under COVID information, so it gets easily overlooked Again, there is nothing wrong with the apartment - it’s a good, clean apartment with good facilities and in good location. But we found it a bit impractical because of the above. Note you also have to do on-line pre check-in and pre check-out stuff - doesn’t take long, but it feels like we get extra tasks that we need to remember.
