"Served it's purpose"

The place was clean and had plenty of space, felt comfortable for the price we paid. If someone was looking for something affordable and decently comfortable in a quiet area near Valmiera, I'd recommend without a hesitation (for us, it was a convenient spot on our bike trip). I liked the high ceiling in our second floor loft and we had a little electric fan to create additional airflow in the space. The hosts only messaged over the booking.com chat, but seemed friendly and responsive.

The roof windows (skylights) were a little hard to handle, there was no other mechanism than having to reach them by hand. Fortunately it's been a very bug-free summer so far, but the lack of insect nets on the windows could be a problem around a different time. A dedicated bike rack outside would be a bonus. Since we were almost the only guests, we locked our bikes to a metal bench by the building, not ideal, but didn't seem like we were bothering anyone with it, so it worked for us.
