Very nice view - clean and easy to get there. Used it 2 nights.

The living room and bedroom is only separated with a simulated wall - not two rooms - just so you know.

The balcony and the view are the biggest plus of this apartment. The kitchen was really spacious and well equipped. The washing machine came in handy ass well.

The bathroom could be cleaner (the carpets), the bed was rather uncomfortable.

Very nice and helpfull host, sunny balcony, big plus for washing machine and others, hot water, very good wi-fi.

You can hear planes but for us it wasn't a problem. The apartment is in old style but for this price is not a problem. Some people like that kind of style.

It might be the best deal in Madeira for a couple or trio of travelers! Actually, the pictures here doesn't do justice to the apartment - it is bigger and nicer than it appears. There is everything you might need for a comfortable stay - washing machine; well equipped kitchen with gas-stove, reasonably sized fridge, coffee machines, kettle for boiling water, toaster, etc.; bathroom with WC and shower (water pressure was great and also loads of hot water); TV with hundreds of channels and other things. There are 2 bedrooms - one with double bed and one with single bed. The host is very communicative, helpful and nice. There are parking spaces next to the building and as long as you are mindful not to put your car into reserves spaces or not to block other cars, there won't be a problem to park your car. (There are some cars parked one after another, but that's because they belong to people from the same flats). Parking spot is quite flat, so no need to exercise your parking skills on a steep slope. Airport is 5 minutes drive away, you can hear the planes passing, but we are good sleepers and got used to it very fast. And it's actually quite cool to have a plane-spotting place so close. There is a shop very near (2 min by car, 10-15 by foot) and Machico (closest town) is also very close - 5 minutes by car or 20-30 on foot. Sure, it's down quite a steep hill, but so is everything else in Madeira.

Bed was a bit squeaky, but taking everything else into account, it's no reason not to choose to stay here. But then again, we are tight sleapers.

Cláudio, the host, is very welcoming and accommodating with information. He gives an efficient introduction to the surroundings and your proximity to things. Assured that he is on hand if needed, that's it, you're left to wonder at will. This comfortable apartment, is in a residential setting, with a seaview and a papaya tree beneath the window.. Only 10 minutes from essential amenities for purchasing produce and incidentals for a self-catering stay. I didn't have the right plug for my USB for instance, I found one 2mins from the nearest Continente Modelo supermarket. The kitchen is perfectly serviceable with most of what you need. It's worth looking in the cupboards and drawers before shopping. Things like salt, cling film, foil, baking paper were already there. WiFi access was stable, the washing machine was efficient and there's a rack to hang fry clothes but bring a few laundry tablets of your own. What I loved most was being up in time to hear the cock crow and watching the the sea appear from the night's darkness at sunrise. It has a calm feeling. Take sturdy walking shoes for the inclines, or taxis (bolt) give the best prices and most places aren't far away. The bus stops in both directions, can be seen from window too. They tend to be once an hour and go from Machico into Funchal so you're accessible to more tourist areas. Santa Cruz is great for perusing and a stone beach view. The closest fresh produce market is there too. Get there in the morning for fish. Machico"s own sandy beach is perfect for sunbath days, with restaurants and other amenities nearby. Hikers will appreciate the walk to and from but it's also only 10mins by car. Obrigada Claudio!

Great location close to the highway and supermarket. Lots of privacy. Host is great and let us check out late because we had a evening flight.
