Vintage 2-bed flat with free parking in Measham

A great location for a stay in the Midlands, near lots of attractions. Measham is a friendly place - café 55 nearby is dog friendly as well! The apartment is very central, the free car park is close by, and we loved the quirkiness of the accommodation, a lovely relaxed atmosphere. We were 4 adults, a dog and a toddler, and it suited us fine with the two bedrooms (double and single in each). We appreciated the fans in all rooms in the hot weather! The park nearby is great, with a big playground and surrounding dog walking paths.

Really cosy and interesting place. Great location, parking (1min free) and loading easy. Everything you need. Top drawer kitchen appliances including washer drier. Great location although right on road found it very peaceful. Host could not be more helpful and accommodating. Highly recommend.

Fully equipped, near a supermarket. Very clean. Kitchen easy to use.

Internet a bit unstable, specially in the room at the back. Gets a bit stuffy if the windows are closed.

Not original flat offered. Thought it would be ok but it was a well-used grubby bachelor flat. Outside was a right mess (not just from the builders) and inside was grotty. Bathroom light cord was black with dirt. We decided that despite driving from Newcastle that day, that we would carry on to Hampshire.

Looking at the reviews of the property from people who have marked it as either good, passible, poor or very poor, there is frequent mention of uncleanliness and uncomfortable beds. Having scrolled the feedback, there are complaints about the uncleanliness and uncomfortable beds around 50% of the time. When I pointed this out to the owner, he took on board my points and things were left there.

The bed was sagging in the middle, you could only get the Wi-Fi when sat in one area of the front room. The owner called in at 8.45am with a contractor, made his excuses, apologised and then left.

Good price for 5 people, nice living room, have kitchen and overall is clean and have what you want. The owner didn’t send us the door code until we call him he is friendly and helpful when we can’t find the parking place.

The beds in the rooms were extremely uncomfortable — they felt completely sunken in, to the point where even a child would sink into them and couldn’t sleep properly. The apartment is located right next to a road, with only single-glazed windows. There’s a bar directly across the street, and the noise from people talking and passing by late into the night or early morning was very loud and clear, making it hard to sleep properly. Additionally, there’s no on-site parking space. You need to park in a public parking which is 2 minutes walk, if you have carrying luggage, that’s a bit inconvenient.
