The beautiful apartment was stylish and comfortable. Clearly, the hosts have taken a good deal of care with the decor. It is located in a quiet, beautiful part of the city, not far from shops, cafes and restaurants. It has a large terrace where you can enjoy the sunny, warm weather. The host provided an excellent guide which was extremely helpful and informative, and he responded very quickly to any questions.

Our stay at Martin’s apartment was truly lovely. The space is beautifully updated and full of character, with a stunning view of the Alhambra from the window. We felt welcomed right from the start with a thoughtful note and homemade treats; a delightful personal touch. The air conditioning was a refreshing relief after hot days exploring the city. The keyless entry system via the app was easy to use, making check-in and check-out smooth and convenient. Martin’s kind offer of a late check-out on our departure day showed his genuine care for guest comfort. The apartment’s location in the charming old town is fantastic, offering beautiful views and an authentic atmosphere that made our stay special. Martin and his wife are exceptional hosts who clearly invest great care and attention into the apartment and their guests’ experiences. Their warmth and responsiveness made a big difference, and they were open and eager to listen when we shared feedback. This genuine dedication to hospitality is rare and truly appreciated. Their ongoing commitment to improving their rental means it’s more than just a place to stay, it’s a welcoming retreat.

While we enjoyed our stay, there were a few areas where we felt improvements could have enhanced the experience further; though these are very much personal preferences and may not affect every guest. My husband has a sensitive neck, so mattress firmness and pillow options are key for us. We found the mattress a bit firmer than ideal and the available pillows didn’t quite meet our needs; but these could be perfect for other guests with different preferences. Later on we did find out the host had other option for pillows by request. The building carries sound more than we expected. Though the apartment is tucked away from busy streets, we did encounter a significant level of noise from within the building during the day and into the evening which impacted our experience. Light sleepers should be aware, but again, this experience could vary depending on which neighbours you have. Additionally, the charming old town location comes with a bit of a challenge; accessing the apartment involves a climb up cobblestone streets. While this is noted by the hosts, we definitely underestimated its impact for us personally. While this location and access adds to the authentic experience it would certainly be difficult for those with mobility issues or heavy luggage. There were a few smaller comfort details that could enhance the stay, but Martin and his wife were so attentive and ready to help that we feel confident they would have addressed any concerns promptly if we had raised them at the time. Their dedication to guest satisfaction truly stands out, especially in contrast to many impersonal vacation rentals we’ve encountered in our travels. Overall, we certainly recommend this apartment for anyone looking for a clean, beautifully styled home with hosts who are truly dedicated to making your stay exceptional. The location was perfect, the outdoor area was huge and had amazing views of the Alhambra. The staff were all so lovely and super quick to respond. We had an amazing time and didn’t want to leave.
