"Lovely clean apartment on the Spaarne."

Communication with Pieter & Anna-Marie was excellent! They were in contact with us ahead of our journey and when we arrived in the Netherlands. Pieter gave us the best way to travel there from the airport & and Anna-Marie was waiting for us at the apartment! She explained everything in detail about the apartment to us. It’s a sweet traditional Dutch apartment and was super clean. We did enjoy the apartment. Being across from the Spaarne River was lovely.

There are two restaurants below the apartment. The noise can be an issue at times. Not so bad during the week but it was worse on Sunday when there was a special event and there was music. Fortunately it was only until 10:00pm so not too bad. Bring earplugs. Stairs were not a problem for us and we are 67 and 68 but if you have mobility issue it could be.

"Besondere, gemütliche Unterkunft mitten in Haarlem"

Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt - das Turfhuys fühlt sich famos holländisch an - es ist alles da, was man braucht. Die Einrichtung gefiel uns sehr, die Matratzen sind super, man kann an den großen Fenstern dem Leben draußen zuschauen und ja, die Stiegen sind steil, aber das ist ja gar nicht ungewöhnlich in NL. Das Parkhaus ist wirklich gleich ums Eck, ausladen kann man direkt vorm Haus - wir konnten zu Fuß alles erreichen und sind viel mit den Öffentlichen gefahren. Der Besitzer ist sehr nett und unkompliziert 🙂.

Great views, close to the old city. Friendly and helpful host.

Shower splashes all over the bathroom floor as there is no barrier (screen or curtain). No plug in the hand basin.
