Die kommunikation lief nur über google translate da ich kein portugiesisch und der vermieter kein englksch kann. Bezahlung nur bar , was bei einem länderen Aufenthalt bedeutet man bring bargeld mit oder man geht öfter zu Geldautomaten da dort nur 20.000 escudos auf einmal abgehoben werden konnen . Der Vermieter wollte einen höheren Mietpreis als bei Booking .com hat er erst nicht bekommen Er hat sich den aber von der Kaution abgezogen und ich wsr es Leid zu diskutieren. Der Umzug in die Wohnung mit dem Besseren Blick gab es einen Aufpreis von 10 euro pro Tag 9 tage sind 100 Euro komische rechnung aber ich war froh die wohnung zu haben

A very nice and well equipped apartment on the 8th floor. The young lady who represented the owners was very helpful and nice about everything. The lady who was responsible for cleaning did a superb job.

As I have a problem with a leg I wrote the owners beforehand to be assured that access to the apartment was easy and was informed that it was, however, when we arrived it turned out that we first had to access one building and take a lift four floors and then walk a bit to access the building with the apartment. It should also be mentioned that there was a problem with the lock on the door leading out to the street, and it was often difficult to open from the outside. For the first three nights we were assigned an other apartment one floor below that was not up to standard at all. We were, however granted a discount for the inconvenience. We had not been informed about this beforehand. The television in the apartment did not work, and was not fixed during our stay. The apartment was on the eight floor and there was no sign for emergency exit on the floor. The owners lived in Italy and all contact with them was through the young lady representing them in Mindelo.

We stayed in this apartment one night after our arrival to Mindelo. The apartment is ok, nothing special, but fairly equipped, clean, good to stay a night or two in Mindelo before moving on. However, after the end of our vacation, we booked the stay in this apartment again, because it is close to the ferry port and we had known it from our previous stay. Just for one night, to spend a night in Mindelo before flying back to Europe next morning. We booked 2 days in advance, the booking was confirmed by the property. We booked another stays and transports to be linked to this night in Mindelo and thought we would enjoy our last day of vacation in Cape Verde. However, the day before we planned to move in, we got the message from the property that they cancel the booking, allegedly because there is not a light there (??) OK, might be, but this fact did not prevent the owner to offer the apartment via booking.com to another clients the same day, as well as the day before and the day after :( I don't understand the real reason of ex-post cancellation (maybe because, as booking.com Genius top level long-term loyal clients, we have a discounted price and the owner is greedy?). Anyway, it complicated and ruined our last day in Cape Verde :( When reading the property ratings now, I see that this was not the first case of such an unfair and fraudulent behavior to booking.com guests, so it is a bit suspicious and I would like to warn the travelers to get to the same trouble as we did and to recommend booking.com to reassess future cooperation with this property owner.
