Blue Apartment Messina

Very clean apartment with great facilities. Also, the parking is available on the street and free of charge.

We had some challenges before the check-in, but this was successfully resolved. What bothered me a bit is that we are travelling through Sicily and this was the most expensive accommodation by far and it is 2,5 km away from the city centre, it has 2 layers toilet paper and breakfast which is just a bunch of sugar (we bought our own breakfast). The kitchen does not have any windows and the view from the rooms is a bunch of garbage. It is also located next to children daycare and it can be pretty loud. Generally - it is just not good value for money.

As i remember, we booked an apartament with 2 bedrooms and a living-room, but there was only 2 bedrooms, no living room. that was a problem as we calculated the beds differently and someone was supposed to sleep on the couch. we also arrived late at night, as the flight was late and the airport in another city, and the check-in wasn't available after 10 pm. we had to ask someone else to pick the key from the owner but if we didn't have any friends in the city, our stay could not be possible there.

The breakfast contained muffins, cookies and snacks. It was nice to have, but that is not what we consider a "breakfast". The apartment was very clean and had most necessities. Kitchen utensils, cooking items, pots, pans, etc could have been better.

The location! The area was not the best and my husband and I did not feel safe walking around after dark. It was very dirty and trash was all around the surrounding area. Also not a lot of "good" restaurants or places we would feel safe hanging out in after dark. Side note: Next door is a daycare- it was very loud.

Very spacious, and well kept apartment. Host provided good quick breakfast options and also great communication. Had a great stay with my family of 5.

It was all good no negatives

The air conditioning could have been more powerful given how hot it was.

Pastries, jams and snacks, milk and coffee was left on the counter. That was a good gesture but that is not what we would consider breakfast for a group of 5-7 adults. May we ask that you add a toaster to the list of amenities in the kitchen.

The location listed as central but it wasn't really close walking distance to many of the city central attractions. And please make sure to tell the guests that when arriving on a Sunday to please list the grocery store they can go buy supplies along with the hours the store stay open. We had to look on Google to find a location and it was not a walkable distance from our apartment. Some of the places said they were open but they were not! And restaurants were closed too!

It was very spacious and comfortable. We enjoyed our brief stay. Marco was a great host. We would highly recommend staying here.

There wasn’t a place to gather (living room/TV room) other than the kitchen.
