The entire first floor is available for rent. The owners live on the second floor and they have their own staircase, so nobody will disturbed you. The apartment turned out to be even too spacious for a family of 4. The kitchen was well equipped, the WiFi worked great and was free. It was clean enough. The location of the guesthouse is extremely advantageous - close enough to all infrastructure, at the same time the place is very quiet.

The property was owned /run by a lady and son who lived up stairs. The property was clean, and tidy well kept. Had a large kitchen, plus fridge/freezer, sink etc. Plus a one ring burner to cook with. 3 bedrooms all with fans and mosquito nets. Great location if you are a surfer,or beach bum, in walking distance of shops, restaurants, beach etc , which was so handy. Plus tuks on the every street corner..

I moved out after a couple of days because I found it too hot for me, especially at night. The fans were on, and being a hot person naturally, and an older lady, the heat from the fans motor, added to my discomfort. However, my 3 adult children decided to stay because it was close to everything especially, beach and surfing at welligama. There was a lovely courtyard outside, but unfortunately, I was eaten alive while sitting out there, so I sat inside most of the time. Inside, it was a lot cooler in the living room with both fans on and door closed. The house is quite dark, but I think it helps keep the living room cool. The one ring was really hot and was gas, it would have been great to cook with, but when cooking eggs and bacon, everything just stuck to the pans, which really needed replacing for non -stick. I cooked breakfast once , then decided it was just too much of a pain. We did mention this to the owner, but they seemed to think the pans were fine to use. We also tried to buy a non -stick pan in town but you had to buy a load of frozen, sausages, nuggets, etc to get the pan which we wouldn't have eaten so didn't bother. Also, I really didn't get on with the one toilet and shower for 5 of us. And because they seem to put a shower and toilet in the same room here in sri lanja, the floor is always permenatly wet when you want to go to the loo. After a couple of days, i was struggling, and really needed to be comfortable. I found a beach hotel with an air con, so I could lay in bed and freeze when i needed to. All in all, nice family, great location for beach etc. .I understand that people don't want to give bad reviews, I get that because the sri lankan people are so nice, and accommodating. But we need more honest reviews on booking.com. I find they can't be trusted and big up the places too much..plus I need to really study what's on offer before deciding to book.

3 bedrooms peaceful environment

But for Three bedrooms we only have one washroom. Even six of us can't manage that. They have mentioned in the description they are providing iron , toaster and over. Nothing was there. They have mentioned free toiletries and kitchenette. But no toiletries were there. In kitchen also no dish washer. There is no mirror in the house. Only washroom has a mirror so you can't get ready

The location is great, along a little lane not far from beach and restaurants and main street. The apartment is roomy. Very clean. Good for a family or group of people.

Very spacious apartment and exceptionally clean. Comfortable living room and dining area. Easy check in and check out. They actually did not have free parking spaces at their property as stated in the listing, but we were allowed to park at the neighbours infront.

There were many items written on the listing that should have been in the kitchen and bathroom that were actually not there, like toiletries, toaster, oven, electric kettle. When we asked, they gave us toilet paper. The owner and his family live upstairs and they are very noisy day and night, but they were friendly to us.
