Panikos Beach Apartment I

Nice spacious apartment where all 7 of us fitted perfectly. Was really good to have several balconies. The beach is walking distance and you have a very good place to eat just on the next corner which is a local place without tourists and the food was really good. But you can find several places to eat at the seaside like 5 minutes walking distance. There was also a parking place for our rented car. Would recommend it to families or bigger groups.

The partial sea view was the only decent thing about this place.

Where do I even begin with this review? Upon arriving at the apartment around 1 AM after a late-night flight, we were shocked to find it completely uninhabitable. The photos posted were severely outdated and didn’t reflect the current, disgusting and haphazard state of the living room (see attached photos). The apartment was filthy, with black mold, a foul odor coming from the kitchen, and a cockroach infestation. The spiral staircase was so narrow and rusty that you could not get any luggage up there, barely a small backpack. The house had poor ventilation overall. The rooms were very stuffy and the AC barely worked in the bedrooms. The location of the house was very "meh"; not close enough to anything compared to other accommodations we've stayed at before in Larnaca. This is far from the standard of accommodation one would expect for a vacation—and it's certainly not safe. We contacted the host immediately, who visited the apartment but only offered excuses for the appalling conditions. It was the middle of the night (around 3 AM), so we were stuck there until the morning when I could secure new accommodation. We informed the host, Panikos, that we would only stay the night under these circumstances and requested a refund for the remaining six days of our booking. Despite our early departure and notification, the host flatly refused to provide a refund. Days later, after contacting Booking.com’s customer service, the host responded by insulting us, calling us names, and accusing us of lying. I expect that the host will reply to this review in a similar manner, too. My poor grandfather paid over 1,000 euros for this trip to surprise our family with a vacation which was ruined because of this apartment. I wouldn't have stayed here even if it were free. Please look at the photos and decide for yourself. I can't make this sort of thing up.

It had lots of great “public” spaces where the family could gather - large porches, kitchen and living room. Nicely equipped kitchen.

The spiral staircase with no risers means that young children need to be constantly watched. One of the beds caused an allergic reaction in one of us.

We are so excited, the apartment have 4 terraces with grate views We became breakfast- surprise! We dream to come again!
