I lived a nightmare so I liked nothing

The staff did not care whether I found the place or not. Staff switched off their phone well knowing that they had not given me directions to the place. For one hour I kept looking in the wrong place they had sent me to. It was dark and loadshedding was due in an hour. I was desperate. I even thought I had been scammed. I had decided to drive back home 350 km away. Just then I called another person who gave me correct directions. The aberrant staff (Dominique is her name) switched on her phone and gave me the address 2.5 hours later, after 9 p.m. No apologies, no remorse. Next day there was no water. We couldn't cook, we couldn't shower, we couldn't flash toilets for a family of six. Dominique refused to pick our calls. We didn't know what was happening. What was supposed to be a time of rest became a time of stress. We drove back home after check out angry, betrayed, tortured, with our pockets lighter by several thousand rands. In 2018 I had a bad experience with the same property managers. They even never refunded my damage deposit fee that time. So I was shocked to find that they were managing this unit after I had made payments. The most understanding person was the housekeeper, she saved my first night. In 2018 too, it was the housekeeper who mitigated my pain and disappointment. It is difficult to see the good in this unit In light of the nightmare furnished by the staff (Dominique). The screenshots attached show that she sent me to a dangerous backstreet when it was dark and turned off her phone. Then she comes back to me at 9 p.m asking whether I have arrived. Only then does she give me the actual address.

The apartment has a lovely sea view from the balcony and you can fall asleep to the calming sound of the waves.

The whole place was quite dirty. Urine stains on the curtains, awful stench inside cupboards and closets, dirty shower. The dishwasher was disgusting. They don't provide cleaning aids such as hand soap, toilet cleaner or dish soap, and expect occupants to clean everything or be charged a R450 fee. Bad security, broken doors and no alarm system like mentioned in the lease agreement.
