BEIRA-MAR, Casinha Alecrim

The weather was gorgeous.

I am afraid the apartment was well below expectations and we were let down by the rude and disorganised owner. Pre check in we requested to use their carpark, the owner agreed to meet us for check in and parking location directions . He didn’t show up but told us to find public parking. After an hour of driving around we had to pay for hotel parking on the other side of town. When we attempted to rearrange the parking for the next day he also didn’t show up at the agreed time and we were left waiting around again. Unfortunately our disappointment was compounded when the owner insulted me by saying I was a difficult customer and the whole issue was my fault. And then there’s the tiny and cramped apartment - deceiving small which the photos do not illustrate. If you want to open the fridge, you have to move the chair. If you want to use the bedroom drawers you have to move the bed. If you want to use the bathroom shelves you have to stand in the shower. The light shades are annoying low, so if you’re over 6foot tall you have to swerve lights. Security wise the one of the master bedroom door locks mechanism has been completely ground away. I’m sure the self absorbed owner does not even check these very important aspects for his guests. Then there’s bathroom cleanliness, if you are ok with mould then no problem; just close the shower door and there’s plenty of it. Oh and there’s no mention that the apartment is above a restaurant with outdoor seating on both sides. Loud chatter, plates and kitchen noise and plenty of cigarette smoke just there as soon as you open the window above the living room and bedrooms from 11am till 11pm. The apartment description says sea views and balcony when in reality the ocean is 100m down the alley. The apartment windows actually over look the neighbours kitchen and bedrooms and the “balcony” is just a safety rail. There is no views whatsoever. And no balcony.

La ubicacion inmejorable.

Es muy pequeño para cuatro personas. No tiene detalles…servilletas, alguna capsula de cafe, sal….

Localização, limpeza e decoração do imóvel .

O colchao da cama de casal necessita ser substituido, proporciona muito desconforto devido à sua instabilidade, resistencia e falta de conforto, relaccionado com o uso e estrutura do mesmo . Não correspondeu às minhas expectativas! ( Dormir bem num bom colchão é fundamental).

A bit of stairs to climb with suitcase but it was nice exercise

The apartment is clean and has everything for either a long or a short stay. It is located close to the beach and cable car which is very convenient. There are many restaurants and shops close by. We liked our stay in Nazaré and this apartment was excellent for us.
