Apartamento Mar e Sol

The apartment is in a very good location with a nice view of the beach. There is a large stadium temporarily installed on the beach which partially blocks the view of the swimming beach. The property was clean and nicely decorated.

We were initially issued only one key and the lock was difficult to open. There was not one tiny bar of bath soap when we arrived and no shower gel either. The listing was advertised as having air conditioning, but there is none!

apartment is great. location and view is beautiful. one note is that it has 1.5 bathrooms and it was not clear from the description. That makes it not a good fit for 2 couples. Also, the manager is shy and is not forthcoming with the information. Apartment has no hear dryer or shampoo and has no provisions in the kitchen, ex coffee/tea/condiments. at least we couldn’t find anything. Assume that you will eat out. plenty of places are near by.

The apartment has a great location with a wonderful view of the beach from the balcony. The living area and bedrooms are spacious and well decorated and the keyless entry with an elevator is a bonus. Everything is within easy walking distance.

The garage door opener was VERY finicky and we were never able to get it to work from the outside, so someone would have to go into the unit, to the garage and click from the inside--even then it was a bit of a guessing game if it would open. I was a bit surprised that there wasn't any bathroom soap provided (I didn't expect shampoo etc.,) and there was *just* enough toilet paper for 2 people for 2 days. Also, only one of the 3 beds was made up with sheets. Fine if we were a couple, but my mom and I had to make up a second bed upon arrival. While Nazare is generally pretty quiet, you can definitely hear the neighbors and the street noise (like everywhere in Portugal, basically). One of the nights/mornings there was some kind of small town festival and the Wed night festivities and Thurs. morning brass band were a surprise. Overall a nice apartment, with some small frustrations.

The location was perfect to the beach and all the restaurants and shops. We were able to relax and enjoy the views of the ocean from the balcony. We took advantage of the full kitchen and made breakfast before we set of on our day. Our stay was at the half way through our trip and we took full advantage of the washing machine in the apartment.

The only negative was that the Wi-Fi didn't work throughout our stay. We would long on our devices and it show we were connected but we had no connection.

Very clean, bright, well decorated apartment in an excellent location. Amazing views from throughout the apartment of ocean, town and cliffs. Nazare Beach is just a few steps out the front door. Beautiful beach with lots to do. Inside the apartment, large patio doors to balcony with double wide opening really brings the outside right into the apartment. Easy walking distance to groceries, shops, restaurants, coffee shops, and more. A good kitchen to prepare meals if you choose. The beds are very comfortable and sleeping to the sound of the waves was amazing. Large tv. Each bedroom had ample closets with drawers for belongs. Easy underground parking with elevator to apartment. You can take the funicular up the hill to Sitio for jaw dropping views. From there it is an easy short walk to Praia do Norte, the beach where 2 world records for the tallest waves ever surfed were set . We loved everything about this apartment and about Nazare and we did not want to leave!
