Saltwater Suites at Fistral

Exceptionally clean, it was modern and bright, the host has created a great how to guide of the area and how to use the amentites, the location was perfect, just on the outside of the centre so peaceful and away from the hustle and bustle. It was a perfect base to explore. Cannot wait to re-book

Our hosts were accessible by phone and were pleasant and helpful. The facilities were good quality

A few small things, such as only 4 forks and no teapot, but most crockery, cutlery etc. was available. There was a problem with the toilet flush, but I’m sure that will have been resolved by now. We were not able to adjust the heating, which meant we weren’t quite warm enough in the evening.

The property was very spacious and well furnished/equipment for what we needed! It was comfortable and cosy. Close to Fistral beach and lovely walks around! Own parking space which was very convenient!

It’s not exactly in the centre of Newquay, so if you’re planning to not use the car prepare yourself for a 25/30 minute walk into the main centre where all the restaurants, shops/ high street is. The toilet had some sort of fault and water was dripping all the time. Despite the fact we were staying at the property for just over a week, we were only supplied with one toilet roll, a couple dishwasher tablets and one towel each- for the price we paid I’d expect these things to be taken care of. The biggest negative and quite an issue for us was the fact that you can’t control the heating in the apartment yourself, it is done remotely by the owners. Again, for the price we paid I’d expect to be able to use the heating as much as I’d like at my own discretion. We also often stayed out late and when returned the apartment was absolutely freezing, at that time of day no one would do anything about it. Felt like a child that’s not trusted with the heating.
