The position is exceptional in the middle of the historical center of Palermo. If you came without a car, you'll be delighted!

The apartment is located in the restricted zone, called ZTL. If you have a rental car be very cautious about this issue: the pass for the ZTL can be bought only online and only by Italian citizens. You will find a lot of inaccurate and obsolete information online about these passes because the legislation changed many times in the last few years. You talk with different people and obtain different answers on this topic. Ideally you need the pass for your car (plate number) BEFORE entering the ZTL! Once the line is crossed you risk a 332 euro fine if you don't have the pass. Multiple crossings may trigger multiple fines!!! In my case, finally the host helped me with the pass, but for two hours I lived a nightmare. I don't wish you the same during your vacation. Be cautious on this matter.
