Angeles House

O terraço, maravilhoso para conviver numa noite de muito calor.

Não há nada que tenha a apontar, o único problema foi simplesmente o estacionamento. Mas o que é normal, devido onde se encontra o alojamento, perto de tudo.

De ligging is uitmuntend.

Het woongedeelte is zeer sober, donker en ongezellig. Slaapkamers zijn o.k. behalve het ontbreken van een kledingkast ,slechts rek met hangers. Keukenkastjes zijn minimaal gevuld met servies.Amper een theekop van formaat te vinden.Dit verdiend dus een update. Een deel van de op de foto van het balkon getoonde kussens op de stoelen , banken en hangmat ontbraken.

The communication from the booking agent was excellent.

Angeles House is a gem to be located so close to the Cathedral square. The interesting thing about this three story apartment (you get lots of good exercise going up and down) is that the whole building was once owned by the famous painter Manuel González Santos. He lived from 1875-1949. The painting on the ceiling in the master bedroom is original. The terrace on the top floor gives a great view of the Cathedral tower, better than any photo can show. There is a flamenco show across Mateos Gagos street (just at the bottom of Angeles Street) on Meson del Moro street, about a three minute walk from Angeles House - 15eu and very entertaining for one hour.

Excellent location in the centre of the Old Town. Upstairs terrace a bonus. Very quiet. Special to stay in an old, historic building.

Furniture is tired and needs replacement. Bedding linen is old as are the towels in the bathrooms.

Host Elena was very responsive to questions and issues. House was very good for what we needed—2 bedrooms, at least 2 bathrooms (there were actually 3, which is unusual in Spain!) for us and daughter, son-in-law, and 5 year old granddaughter. Facilities adequate and location great—on quiet street 2 minutes from 10 + tapas bars and restaurants.

Could have used some delayed maintenance, and while well supplied with necessities (especially the kitchen), some supplies like toilet paper were minimal and had to buy a lot more. Dishwasher was advantage but difficult to figure out (and no instructions) and impossible to stop or get door opened once operating. Very steep steps—don’t recommend for children under 4.

Excellent location, and the rooftop terrace was perfect.
