Vucciria Apartments By Wonderful Italy

Wonderful Italy was great to work with. This was our second property we stayed at during this trip. The first property was great and this one was a let down. The apartment was nice at first look but then as we were there longer it really wasn’t well maintained. The air con was in the main living room and didn’t flow into the bedroom. A fan would have helped. The laundry is shared for the building not in the apartment. The general neighborhood was decent, it’s still a bit gritty and up and coming. However, the street the apartment was on was very dark and dirty with a terrible smell. The rubbish bins at the end of the street were always full even though they were regularly picked up, it just left a stench in the whole area. I wouldn’t stay at this location again but would use wonderful Italy in the future.

The apartment was beautiful and clean, amazing location, but it was on the second floor and unfortunately, someone climbed onto our balcony and tried to rob us, all the guests should be very careful and never leave the balcony door open.

The location is really nice and close to the centre. Apartment is nice and has what you need for 2.

The apartment has a first door that gives access to a bunch of other apartments. And it was the first door which got keys stuck. The lock of the door is extremely difficult to open. We broke the key inside the lock at they made us pay 50 euros for it. One day later we meet others who also broke their key (also had an apartment with this company (Wonderful Italy)). The day after that one we met a couple of guys that also broke their key in the lock. They were staying with another company. But just to say that they know the keys break easily and nearly on a daily basis (3 days in a row) and still make you pay while they know it's a really difficult lock to open. The people behind the account are not that friendly and not really helpful. We didn't receive any information about our apartment and didn't know to turn on the AC (Air conditioner). We sent them video's and pictures of how we tried to turn it on etc. They then after 2 days of our stay, decided to send 2 men to repair the AC. The men asked us for the keys of the apartment and apparently we had to put the key in the wall and turn to activate the Air-conditioning. This could've been avoided if they told us from the beginning when giving us the keys or while texting us. We saw 2 times people trying to break into the apartment which was scary and one of the two times a stranger had climbed up the wall to the balcony.

The Location was perfect, bog Living Room and a great Kitchen, two bathrooms very comfortable !

Location, location, location‼️

Communication was excellent. The location was fantastic. In the historical centre. Very close to Corso Vittorio Emanuele, which is the main pedestrian road where there are many restaurants and shops.The apartment is spacious with high ceilings and modern.

Be aware that because it is in the historical centre, you can park the car in the piazza but you need to purchase ZTL ticket for 5 € . Not all tabacchi sell. We bought scratch tickets at RIBAUDI near MASSIMO theatre it needs to be activated before midnight by sending an SMS via an Italian pH no. .You can order via online but it seemed complicated.Also in the car park, an old guy who said he watches the car, asked us to move the car . He was not an official and then requested us to give him some money for his service.

The Location

Sadly I had a bad experience with the apartments, I wish I’d read the reviews and not just looked at the score. The pictures on here are of several different apartments, the apartment I ended up with unfortunately had no balcony, a very small bedroom and frosted glass windows so you couldn’t see our and it was incredibly dark. Theres no natural light in the living area so you need to have the lights on. As well as this it was very unclean, hair and dust on the floor :( I was actually so unhappy I paid to stay elsewhere after one night and they refused to give me a refund. The place I moved to was wonderful and I don’t regret at all moving.
