Salvo and Sylvie have created a home away from home. Everything is provided to cook in if you want. There is also a washing machine which is great. The apartment was spacious , spotless and very comfortable. Salvo gave lots of suggestions on places to visit. He was absolutely wonderful on the night I arrived, the shared taxi from the airport (€8) dropped me near the house . It was 9.30pm I had been travelling for 14hrs...of course I got lost. Salvo arrived in his car to collect me. As a solo female traveller, over 65+ roaming a new place at night is not my comfort zone so his generosity was very appreciated. The apartment is central to all the important sites and more. The colourful street is a treat! Just roam it is wonderful.

Nothing to fault. Sant Augustino''s bells may bother some but I loved them. Quintessential Italy.

Fantastic location in the center of historic Palermo. Great well equipped kitchen. Lovely balconies to enjoy a glass of wine or coffee. The owners gave great information about the area and were very welcoming and helpful.

First, the greeting at the apartment was amazing! The hosts were so eager to make our stay meaningful. Grazie mille!!! The location couldn't be better, right in the heart of the city. Palermo might have a reputation, but we saw nothing but the best of the city everywhere we went in our 8 days there, and first, right outside of our door with such friendly vendors. We felt at home in this very comfortable accommodation. Amazing location is right in the beating heart of the lively historic center. We walked everywhere and never wanted to take the bus, just wanted to walk and experience the journey. Note: We include some pictures to show the good condition of the apartment, not anything negative. (The bed covers look a bit messy only because we took these photos just as we were checking out and we did not make the bed.)

The only real shortcoming was the mattress, which was sunken in. Other than this, the apartment is a 10! Other reviews mention the church bells that ring in the morning, but this is less noticeable with the closed windows. Finally, we were concerned about the water at first, but we asked the host, who told us about a switch on the wall to turn on the water tank. After this, the pressure and temperature were great, even for my wife to wash her long and thick hair, better than at home! Loved this place and hope to go again next year!

host was wonderful , very accommodating ! Apartment was airy, natural light , spacious 3 balconies .

All was good however it should be noted that apartment is on the top floor with many steep stairs , therefore elderly travelers may want to be prepared for this. Bathroom shower and faucet could use a bit of updating however it was clean.

Really nice place to stay on Palermo‘s city centre with all the things to visit just around the corner, not to forget to mention the nice and helpful owner!

No worries if you forget your alarm clock, there ist one just in front of the apartment
